  1. He'll soon find out that he should have stayed in the closet. That's going to happen.
  2. I feel like I am one of the few here who believe in this draft. I called it a B and so do the experts. Mel called it a "solid B". Many believe that I wear "purple colored glasses". Maybe, but many here wear glasses stained with mud. They would rather bash than accept the reality that that our team has been pretty good at what we do for many years.
  3. But I thought you libs liked this progressive stuff.
  4. Cricketts. Not surprized by these over opinionated pundits here. Pretty sad really.
  5. A beat writer vs. an esteemed 30 year NFL veteran GM ? I'll take the latter.
  6. About an hour or so ago, I went from this board to ESPN NFL. The very first thing I saw was the NFL draft analysis, so I thought, let's see what they say, if anything about the Ravens. They started with the best and went to the worst. Bill Polian, 30 year veteran NFL-GM was first. "The Baltimore Ravens hit it out of the park with their draft selections." Hey guys. before you throw stones at Ozzie & Co., listen to the experts.
  7. How do you know that this draft is a total bust? Can you see the future? I know your next question to me is this. Can I read the future? No, but I trust in this Ravens front office. Their track record speaks for itself. 5 playoff appearance in 6 years. 3 AFC championship games. 1 superbowl victory. That's what I go with. You go by positional draft. Very few NFL teams do that and they are normally the cellar dwellers.
  8. I just hope the Raven front office doesn't read this. They'd be so disapointed that your expectations weren't met.
  9. Defense wins championships and that's the Raven way. I think these "professionals" know a little bit more about these picks than all of us fans put together. In this very competitive AFCN, defense is what wins and brings conference cahampions. All in all, I like this draft. B
  10. Yeah, a little. I just don't understand the 2cnd pick because he is a 3 year project, but... this one works.
  11. Even I'm puzzled over this one.
  12. Sorry Papabear, too much reading for my taste. That's a scout's job. I only read 'em after we pick 'em.
  13. Steelhurtin, aren't there some Pittsburgh Steeler fans out there who you can talk to about all this? C'mon man, there's gotta be.
  14. I appreciate it Crave, but I'm not going down to Florida this year at all. Don't care if I do dah do dah do dah. (Johnny Cash)
  15. Man, are you drinking again? Ozzie should step down because he just grabbed the best middle linebacker in college? And because he stayed true to his past success by taking the best athlete available, which, BTW, is what has propelled him to one of the best GM's in the game? Seriously Crave?
  16. Now that BG, I agree with wholeheartedly. I too believe they trade back with the Niners for additional picks. (S.F. has 11 picks, 10 are tradeable.)
  17. BG- This guy would have to be very special for the Ravens to take him before the best available offensive tackle. Real special. But, stranger things have happened.
  18. I'm just wondering if his nose ever fully healed after trying to pick up a pretty married woman in a downtown bar, only to meet the wrath of a jealous husband. Still LOL.
  19. Yeah Papa- that is our biggest worry. What will the league do to Ray Rice? Personally, I think he gets 4 weeks off. We have to be prepared for that. I know the front office is. Look for a 3rd to 5th round pick to be a running back. Under Kubiak, everything plays off the run. Yes, this is my biggest concern as a Raven fan.
  20. That's the greatness of a Ravens draft- you never know who they are going to take. Unlike most teams, who draft by position need, if Ozzie sees a tremendous football player available that plays the same position as another good Raven player, he'll grab him anyway and figure it out later. That is why the Ravens continue to make the playoffs, year after year. (Mostly) Looks like most here are on the same page as me. We have no clue, but can't wait for next Thursday to get here as we look forward to it with eager anticipation. It's great to be a Raven fan.
  21. I am certain of just one thing only. The Ravens will take the best ready to start player at # 17. I don't know if it is one of the 3 or 4 best O lineman, a TE, Wide out, or Safety. Therefore, my answer to my own question is, "I don't know". But, if I'm going to guess, which is what I'm asking you all to do, I"m going to say an O lineman. ( I disagree with Kiper and think one of the top ones fall to # 17. Your thoughts?
  22. I'm getting sick of these Thursday night games. To be FORCED to buy a ticket at regular price for a meaningless practice game.... on a weeknight when you have to getup early the next morning is BLATANTLY WRONG, UNFAIR, AND DOWNRIGHT DISRESPECTFUL to their loyal PSL owners. It's total bullshit and I'm getting sick of it. Maybe it's time to sell. Way to look out for the little guys. Way to let the NFL walk all over you Mr. B.
