  1. Defense is. Offense- not even close. Is this offense something that can be fixed? If so, it has to be fixed immediately, as in Chicago, Ill.
  2. Hate to say it, but I gotta agree Crave. I'm believing they will draft a halfback next year.
  3. Right before the hail Mary, I told my wife the ball would probably be batted around and then caught in the end zone by a Bengal. Afterward, she accused me of jinxing the Ravens. Just glad we pulled it out. On a lighter note, the D played lights out today while the O again sputtered. I'll take a win any way we can get it.
  4. I am feeling it. A close, hard hitting slugfest with the 12th man claiming victory. Ravens in a very close game.
  5. 24-23 over the Bengals at M&T.
  6. OK, I'm going to say it right here, right now. Ravens will beat Cincy in an extremely close game, probably by one point. The home crowd gets the credit in this one.
  7. That first half of that first game may have been the offense' s best showing of the year so far.
  8. Flacco and his slow starts, not getting into the game until the 4th quarter. Horrible up front blocking. Weak secondary.
  9. Remember about a month ago when Ray said on ESPN that the Ravens have lost their leaders? Remember when he was severly criticized by Flacco, et al for sying that? Ray was right. Again.
  10. Surprizing to me, but Cinci is favored by 1 point. If we play the Raven football we are accustomed to, and 71,000 will this team to victory, are you back on the proverbial wagon? Me? Ravens have to go 7-1 rest of the way- at Detroit, Chicago, and Cinci. Can't really say I will be, but I'll always root for them or better or worse.
  11. "Flacco sleep walked through the first 29 minutes". BINGO! And how many times have we seen him do this this year? Maybe all of them? Flacco has absolutely no sense of urgency to him. I was watching Andrew Luck walk his team back from their huge deficit yesterday. I watched this kid. I looked at the expression on his face. He was determined to win and he did. He had that sense of urgency that all QB's need to be successful in this league. I have to agree with Geronimo/Rasta on Joe, But, man he doesn't have much to work with either. Even so, he must go from Cool Joe to get his ass in high gear Joe. As far as this season, I concede at this point. This is not the Ravens year. Like I said before, you can't win them all.
  12. You're not fooling anyone. We all know you are of the same. You use the exact same verbage, ie; Tarrnado, etc.. But to answer your question as to what I would do. Nothing really except stay the course, try to get better, put the pieces back together, and look forward to a good draft and whatever it takes to make this team better. I think our Oline is a liability-fix it. Get a top receiver through dfaft or F.A. next year. Joe's problem this year is a weak Oline, not enough targets for Joe, Pitta's injury. Not excuses, just facts. One other thing: when are you going to grow up and stop the disparaging name calling? i just don't see others here doing that.
  13. To Geronimo, AKA Rastaman. Just curious. If you were Ozzie, what would you do to "fix" this Joe Flacco problem? What would YOU do to make this team better?
  14. "Baltimore- a football town with a drinking problem" was how one newspaperman described Baltimore back in the 60's. Things haven't changed that much and expect Thanksgiving night to be no different. Keep your daughter close by your side, The drinkers will be out in full force, one being my son and his best friend, an Iraqi veteran ex-Marine. One more thing. The Ravens will beat the snot out of the Steelers that evening.
  15. Just look at what happened last Sunday. Browns almost upset highly favored Chiefs in Arrowhead. They are playing impressive football right now, and the game is in Cleveland. Can we beat them for the 12th straight time? Only if we play mistake free football and the offense gets into the game early. Otherwise, another debacle like we just witnessed in Pittsburgh. My pick: Ravens will score early and put up enough points to win. 23 to 17.
  16. Wierd. I was asking myself the same question today. I am sure the NFL will take care of him, most likely through insurance.
  17. O.S. says, "How do we make the playoffs"? Simple. Go 10-6 or better by winning 7 or more of the last 9 games. Tall order, but achievable. Will be interesting to see if this team can utilze this talent in the right way.
  18. Joe has done exceptionally well with what he has. Period.
  19. 6-3 to finish out the season. 9-7 does not get them in the playoffs. Hey, you can't win them all. They'll be back strong next year.
  20. I've tried at least five times to post a poll question, asking how many wins will the Ravens get in the final nine games? It's like pulling teeth. I have no idea how to run this poll here. Anybody familiar with this board who can post this poll? I am very curious as to what the average fan like us thinks about this.
  21. Absolutely correct. Cincy game at home will be huge. Win and we have a shot at the playoffs. Lose and start looking at next years draft.
