  1. owns a six-year contract that, at the time, was the richest in NFL history.

It was the richest in NFL history for like a minute. By the time he is restructured (in 3 years), there will be quite a few higher paid QBs. People need to stop making it such a big deal. Everything I see from Joe tells me he won't change a bit. I mean...does this look like a guy who is going to change?

  2. I think it's possible for the ravens to carry 2 fb's and 2 Te's . Juice has played TE, you can have juice as your 3rd TE also. I'm not saying it's going to happen , just that if the ravens wanted to carry Juice and Leach, they could make it work.

    This.

They have an offer out to Leach. They want him back (just at the right price). There will be a tremendous amount of versatility on the offensive side of the ball.

  3. I agree with you Money. Two ACL tears may be systematic of more to come. Safety is a position where you don't have to cut as much as corner. Hopefully, Webb's accident's were just bad luck.

Exactly. Everything is usually in front of you as a FS. Webb is a playmaker pure and simple. He would be an outstanding replacement for Reed. I would have rolled with Graham and Smith at the corner positions. Corners have always come and go with the Ravens, but Reed has always been the stabilizing force in the defensive backfield. Webb can have that kind of effect for years to come as a Raven.

Here's the highlight of his injury last year. He hardly does anything. I will be holding my breath on every defensive play this year. We need him on the field for the entire season this year.

  4. stupid 83

I guess you think RAY RAY was innocent

and your city has no crime

and you are prolly the raven fan who took my kids towel and burned it

    stupid 83

    don't make me bring up

    THE PLANE FULL OF RAVENS

You cannot do Burghy without at least thowing one "rat" and one "STEELER" in the post.

The "stupid 83" was spot on though.

  5. . Oh yeah I forgot about him. Another thing yinz are forgetting about is the leaders you lost. I didn't think it would hurt the Steelers as bad as it did. The ravens kinda lost exactly what we did last year. We lost Ward(boldin) Farrior(Lewis) Aaron smith(reed). I'm only comparing them as leaders and not skill. You also have to throw birk in that category.

It's definitely going to be a different dynamic. There will absolutely be more leadership on the offensive side of the ball with Flacco, Rice and Torrey already showing it. I think Suggs and Webb will lead the defense.

There's no replacing Ray. Everyone knows that. I don't think you will see Joe come out doing a chicken dance to "Hot In Herre". This team will find it's own way though.

  6. Oh god you're here lol. How ya been its been awhile since we have had it out. I couldn't take the robustness and constant trolling of the espn boards.

Couldn't be better steel! Glad to see you on here. Let's just hope the Steelers are a little more competitive this year. Would love for the Ravens to host the AFCCG against them.

  7. Onto the ILB you have a guy who missed a year and a guy brand new to your scheme. Also it's the nfl injuries are bound to happen and imo your depth is lacking at ilb. I honestly think McClain retiring was the best thing for yinz you don't want that attitude in your lockerroom especially with no ray ray to straighten him out.

I'm actually good with Brown, Smith, McClain, Bynes and McClellan. With what looks to be a dominant DL this year, our ILB's will be having a lot of fun this year.

  8. On paper they got younger and faster. I'm more worried about the offensive side. I think Birk's retirement is huge. He was an extremely smart, veteran center who Joe has worked with his whole career. I'm not knocking Gino, its just there's no real game footage to see of him just the useless Cin game last year. Boldin was slow but sure handed, maybe one of the young guys will do good (I'm rooting for Thompson), but I have no faith in Doss or Reed at #3.

I am very optimistic about Gino. He reminds me a lot of Matt Flynn. This being said, Ozzie was very smart to bring in a guy like Shipley (go figure). That will be a very good camp competition that the Ravens will benefit greatly from (no matter who the winner is).

I'm one of the few who actually does still believe in Doss and I love Thompson. I do think they will still bring in another WR. I don't think it will be Lloyd (or any other FA). It will be someone who is on another roster at present.
