  1. I have to ask that sleazebucket sad excuse of a high school classmate, who asked during the Ravens Super Bowl celebrations "What is it about Ravens and stabbings?" Think I'll ask her "What is it all about Redskins and losing?" She accuses most Ravens fans are ex Redskin fans, while she roots for the O's and jumps on the Squeelers bandwagon because of her husband.. I accuse most Nationals fans are ex Os fans who were brainwashed by a former Deadskin owner Edward Bennett Williams into becoming fans of the team, by marketing them in DC with a Clubhouse store and local radio and TV deals. Back then it was only Phil Wood and Washington Senators fan club President Pat Malone who were for getting their own team.
  2. That is why I'm glad Bisciotti is the owner now, although I thank Art for moving the team to Baltimore and I still think he should be enshrined in Canton, he still had financial problems. I think it was Steve's influx of money as a minority partner that helped get us from being an 8-8 team in 1999 to winning the Super Bowl in 2000.
  3. The List only moves when either someone does not pay his season tickets within a reasonable amount of time or a PSL owner gets two strikes on the behavior of the people using their tickets and loses their PSLs. I love the Ravens as much as any other fan here, but this is a bad waiting list concept, making people pay money each year for a waiting list that moves only about 500 or less spots a year. I would rather pay a premium for PSLs or wait till the Ravens have a few losing seasons and get them for a lower price. I think the wait if you are on the bottom of the list takes about 20 to 30 years, unless you buy a higher spot. I also heard a rumor that Art Modell has some financial problems around the last 90's or early 2000's and had to sell PSLs to various ticket brokers in a bulk purchase at a discount to raise funds, thus another reason why PSLs are sold out and there is "The List".
  4. Not to mention "one and done" which is how our chances in the playoffs look right now, unfortunately.
  5. I haven't seen the Ravens defense play this badly since the 1996 and 1997 seasons.
  6. There are five Ravens bars in the DC Metro area. In Arlington, there is Ireland's Four Courts near the Courthouse Metro and Rock Bottom in Ballston Commons Mall. In Washington, DC there is the Pug on H Street, NE and the Mason Inn in Glover Park. Ri Ra's in Bethesda, MD according to Ontaponline.com is a Ravens bar. The Northern Virginia/DC Ravens meetup group started the season at Ireland's Four Courts and got a better deal from a Meetup Group member who manages Rock Bottom in Ballston Commons. The Northern Virginia/DC Chapter Ravens Meetup group is among the largest NFL team meetup groups in DC in terms of members listed although we only had 10 people show up today due to most of the members having season tickets.
