  1. I'm pretty sure all girlfriends and wives would react that way if you're bad mouthing their boyfriend/husband or children.
  2. What takes you to Lake Mary? It's not exactly a well-known area...
  3. You live in Lake Mary? That's where I'm transferring to...
  4. All things considered, it's nice not to be the one feeling like crap today.
  5. Is it true that if New England wins, Lee Evans and Billy Cundiff get Super Bowl rings?
  6. Yeah, um... about that... But there's also Tampa and Miami
  7. Yeah - my girlfriend lives just past Oviedo. I'll be moving from Daytona closer to Orlando here in the next few months.
  8. Of course I know where Deltona is. It's the residential area of Volusia county. I may be watching the Super Bowl there in a few minutes.
  9. NFL Defensive Player of the Year voting Name Team Votes Terrell Suggs, LB Ravens 21 Jared Allen, DE Vikings 14 Justin Smith, DE-DT 49ers 6 Jason Pierre-Paul, DE Giants 5 Patrick Willis, LB 49ers 2 NaVorro Bowman, LB 49ers 1 Charles Woodson, CB Packers 1 Noteworthy is that Suggs was the only player from the AFC who got a vote... Jared Allen, Justin Smith and Jason Pierre-Paul (the three J's?) all split 35 NFC Defensive End votes... and Allen/Smith probably both had better years than Suggs. Can't say for sure, but I think this is a factor. I love Suggs to death, and I was rooting for him to win DPOY. But if I'm being realistic, Jared Allen is a better player and had a better season.
  10. That may very well be true - but I also hear that he's being looked at as a 4-3 MLB only - whereas some of the other guys could play OLB or ILB in a 3-4, and DE/OLB/MLB in a 4-3. He'll probably go top 20, but crazier things have happened with linebackers who are seen as limited (Dan Connor, James Laurinaitus, Sean Lee, Brandon Spikes were all early-grade 1st rounders who fell to round 2) Either way, he's at least worth a mention.
  11. This might be a year where we look for a guard on the second day... a lot of these guys are good-but-not-great prospects... even the top guys like Glenn got beat from time to time at the college level... no can't-miss prospect like Grubbs was when he came out... but a lot of guys we can "coach up" like we did with Yanda. I think I'd like to see us go MLB/rush LB/DE day one and two, then safety/guard/center on days two and three.
  12. Well DUH - lol. But DPOY is a tremendous honor for a guy like Suggs. Who really thought he'd ever win one, based on the last 5 years?
  13. Barron is a ball-hawk that isn't afraid to get his hands dirty... could be a star in the NFL... will probably come off the board long before we pick. Mayock has Harrison Smith of ND #2, George Iloka of Boise #3, Markelle Martin of Ok. State #4, and Janzen Jackson and Antonio Allen of McNeese State and South Carolina, respectively, tied at #5. I've watched limited Iloka footage, but he seems like a solid tackler at the position... will investigate further. I really like what I've seen from Antonio Allen of South Carolina - good hands and ball skills, good tackler... will definitely start in the NFL. A lot of the rankings here will depend on how these guys run at the combine. Any of these guys who run in the 4.4 range will fly up the boards.
  14. Everyone bet on the Giants when SF was favored by 2.5 too. And a lot of people bet them against the Packers. They're on the type of roll where they're backing up the hype.
  15. I've talked myself into it insomuch as I want to see the Patriots get embarassed. The fans kept talking about how they wanted a rematch for the sake of redemption... without considering how brutal it's going to be when they lose again. That'll just make the Super Bowl loss a few years ago look like less of a fluke.
  16. Seattle and Arizona were both special teams-affected... David Reed and Patrick Peterson... Against San Diego Webb didn't play, J. smith got destroyed in his "welcome to the NFL" game... (so did Arizona's Peterson by Hakeem Nicks, though, so no big deal) Pagano wasn't perfect by any means - but his unit was a drastic upgrade over Mattison is my point. Hopefully Peas builds on that success.
  17. I was being facetious. I blame Cameron, always, for everything offense-related. But we'll still make the AFCC next year in spite of him.
  18. It's draft time Crav... get excited! BURFICT!
  19. Yes - on PAPER, those three receivers, coupled with our two young and talented tight ends, AND one of the best pass catching threats at RB, should be one of the best units in football. It's too bad there isn't someone to blame for our offensive inadequacies...
  20. You could argue that mattison leaving had more to do with that than losing Zorn. With Zorn we held a 2-score led on Pittsburgh and New England and blew the leads.
  21. We don't need to be pissed - we just need to get better. And we will be.
