  1. You do realise the schedule is set based on last year's record? The NFL can't get into predicting who is going to be good the next year and set the schedule accordingly. The only thing people can argue about is the fairness in when away games are scheduled especially when cross country games are scheduled.
  2. Totally agree. Ronda may be a good striker but would get killed in a boxing match which Holm proved. Rhonda doesn't move well enough for boxing. She takes awkward striking angles and doesn't know how to avoid strikes. Don't get me wrong, when she hits you its over but against an experienced operator like Holm, Ronda's tactics where all wrong and that's on her and her coaching team. In the rematch she has to sit back a bit more and counter. Holm wasn't putting any combos together because she was striking and then getting out of there to avoid the grapple. Ronda needs to learn to avoid the punch and then quick counter especially if she can get Holm to move onto her back foot.
  3. Meh, Negan is nothing without Lucille. Lucille is the real star. Who have they hired to play her?
  4. Yeah I think Rousey thought she was invincible and could just charge in against any opponent and overwhelm them. Credit to Holm, she had a great game plan and executed it to perfection. I still think Ronda can beat Holm but she needs to come up with a better game plan.
  5. I just don't understand the need to slow everything down. I could have watched an entire episode of that first 5 mins where they get ambushed. Call the Episode Escape and Evade and have the 3 of them battling to get away from the Wolves and avoid the Walkers. End the episode with them thinking they are finally safe as they approach Alexandria only for that WTF moment as they turn the corner and see 10,000 walkers between them and the gates. I don't have a problem with the show only having progressed 2 days. I just have a problem with how it has been handled. I want to see a Siege on Alexandria. The walkers coming from one side and the Wolves from the other whether the action is happening where Darrell/Abraham/Sasha are at or the action is happening at the walls of Alexandria. You can still develop the characters as you go. I don't see the need to show 1 episode for each. Skip between the 2 during each episode. To be honest, I think some of the pacing of the show is starting to find it's way into the comics and the writing has been poor. They have some great concept material but the pacing and dialogue is sucking and that could be part of the problem with Robert Kirkman working on both the show and comic. With that said, I'm still going to watch/read because the concept material they have coming on tv and the comic is still working for me even if the story telling isn't quite hitting the mark.
  6. I agree with TBird somewhat. We need to get at least 1 top class WR and a 2nd if SS does in fact retire. We are set at TE. We are ok on the O-Line. We are ok at RB. On D we need a pass rusher, a cover LB and at least 2 corners. Getting all that in 1 off season might be tough but that's not a massive list of needs either.
  7. Just on Harbs. There is a lot of smoke linking him with the USC job. Apparently his representatives even enquired about a financial package and his wife is interested in living in Southern California. There were talks held during the 49ers week. It wouldn't surprise me if it happened. Things haven't felt right since Ozzie and Biscuit threw Harbs under the bus during the Rice fiasco.
  8. WR and I'm serious with one caveat he must be BPA. Honestly, I think we can go about 5 different ways. BPA from Pass Rusher, WR, LT, CB. Perfect scenario, we get the #1 pick and someone throws draft picks at us to get the best QB in the draft. Worst case scenario, we get the 6th pick in the draft and the can't miss studs are gone leaving Ozzie to take another ILB.
  9. The penultimate play basically summed up the season. We look like the Browns out there. That is probably the biggest insult we can take from this season. We seem to find new ways to lose each week. Oh well.......let's talk about the draft I guess. We can look forward to a nice high draft pick so we don't have to wait until the end of the 1st round for Ozzie to trade out.
  10. Poor kid was gutted when Leaveland drafted him.
  11. 2013 - Seems like a weak argument. He was probably more hamstrung by the OC than a weak running game/O-Line. 2014 - Yeah team would have advanced to AFC game with a better secondary but they couldn't afford it. 2015 - Forced to throw to UDFAs and 4th round pick because there is no money left to pay anyone else. 4 different OCs yes, but Kubiak was a good one and Trestman has kept the same verbiage and playbook. It's simple, when we are negotiating with Joe we need to go around his agent and stare Joe in the eyes and tell him to take less money so we can surround him with some more talent to get more rings. If he thinks that is a bad idea then we have to move on. He is not getting us back to the Superbowl on his own. Lets not kid ourselves here, Joe is still going to get paid handsomely but that extra $3m a year we save could help get a top notch WR or keep a good O-linemen.
  12. Everyone thought there was no possible way we would hold Carson Palmer to under 300 yards so there is always hope. However, I think we probably blew our load on National TV so expect a return to a normal Dean Pees D this Sunday.
  13. Have you seen the pocket Joe has had to throw in? If you could even call it a pocket. While the game ending INT was a poor throw, it was still the only throw he could make as he had to back peddle and throw off his back foot or he was getting sacked in about 1.5 secs after the snap. But then that's what happens when you have to replace the entire left side of your line during the game.
  14. I don't know. There is something in me that says Dean Pees will get lucky with a game plan and we win. When our backs are against the wall we seem to find something......and then look like shit again the following week.
  15. Jets, Bills, Saints, Bears, Texans, Rams, Broncos off the top of my head and there are others who might see him as an upgrade over what they have. It only takes one team to want Joe so bad they start throwing picks our way. That said, I don't see Joe going anywhere.
  16. Only started watching BB after it finished its original TV run. Wasn't hooked immediately but after about 3 or 4 episodes I just felt it was getting better and better. It's also one of the few shows that gets consistently better with each season. There was no sophomore slump like so many shows endure and it ended at the right time. By that I mean, it didn't run for too long and had u watching out of loyalty (I'm talking about you Supernatural) or it ended too soon without closing the story off and tying up the loose ends.
  17. No way we cut Joe. Some QB needy team would take him off our hands of that I have no doubt. I think it's simple really. We present Joe with the facts. We want to spend money on getting him some weapons and keeping the O-Line intact to keep him healthy. The last couple of years has proven he needs help. To do that we need him to give us some money back but we will sweeten the pot by guaranteeing more $ and extending his deal. Joe gets a long term deal, the Ravens get more cap space and both sides win by having a better chance of winning. If Joe doesn't want any of that then he is not the QB we want leading this team and we trade him.
  18. Article is terrible. No mention of poor coaching. We have got to make the move to another DC during the bye week. We can see what we have under a different direction between now and the end of the season before making a final decision on who the next DC will be (the in house candidate that took over or someone new). There will be times where you have a bad season for sure but the D has been on decline for years and Pees is the constant. The buck stops with him and if it doesn't then it stops with John Harbaugh and we know the coach isn't going to fire himself without at least exploring other options. At least we have the chance with high draft choices to replenish some of the diminishing talent on the team be it at WR, pass rusher and in the secondary but Ozzie and co will have to hit on the first 3 choices again or more and more fans will start to think the FO is past their sell by date.
  19. Dean is in over his head. Ever think we are inconcistent because you suck as a coach Dean? We have been on a steady decline since Dean took over. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/videos/videos/Full_Presser_Dean_Pees_On_Defensive_Inconcistency/c0103661-9f9b-462a-a955-c7e2566b6a7b
  20. lol, I was just thinking that I'm glad John isn't my doctor. John:"RM you have got 10 months to live" RM: "Seriously, what are my chances?" John: "You'll be done in 2"
  21. We have a long history of making 2nd string QBs look All World. I expect to see 0-4 but to have any chance this season we need the W.
  22. I don't believe Oz is the problem. I haven't agreed with every decision he has made but he has earned the benefit of the doubt. There is only so many things he can fix in one offseason. Perhaps he has relied too much in the belief that this coaching staff can develop some of the young WRs and secondary players in to world beaters and to date that hasn't happened. My guess is everyone gets one more shot to turn it around. It's going to be interesting to see what happens at the WR spot, Pass Rushers and secondary. Those are the 3 areas we need urgent upgrades.
  23. This thread gets my approval I just find some of his Defensive calls head scratching to say the least. How many yards does AJ Green have to get against the Ravens before you start to double cover him? Unimaginative and soft. Not a good combo for a Ravens D.
