no but Ben can say he had two rings in his first 6 years how about Joe. Also we tied and who was the last team eliminated from the playoffs?

Dolphins reach out to Eric DeCosta about G.M. job

They are interviewing our cap guru KAHN!!! -
His numbers show he deserves it how about Joe? You go by hard stats and Joe would get another rookie contract because that's how he played last year.
-
If he restructures and gets a new deal next year it wipes out the carry over. Crazy part is if they just pay him what's due this year he will have made 91 million dollars on this deal. No other player has made over 70 million on one contract. I honestly think he is going to give the steelers a team friendly deal. Now it will still be big but it will be at a discount of what he could make. He has already said the steelers can't carry the 18 million he is due this year cap wise.

I know who would have though it would have been tainted in my eyes
-
He will be extended this off season or he will restructure again then be extended next off season. He will not go into his last year without an extension

They aren't built for the tourney because they don't get the big named stars as Dixon can't stand the one and done guys. Now this sophomore point guard that just verbally committed to Pitt could change things. I doubt he will be a point guard in college as he is already 6'5" and 200 pounds as a sophomore in high school but he been playing a lot more power forward. I think pitt will make a decent run this year but I never expect them to win it all. I admire the job Dixon does keeping them competitive while have no real stars and not sending many players to the NBA. Maybe with the move to the ACC they will get some bigger named recruits and This team has some very good basketball players on it.

No he said they MAY not extend him this year but if you look at the front page of ESPN he also said Ben will retire a Steeler. He isn't going to say one way or another what is going on. The steelers front office never has done that. He gave his typical bland Ben will be extended this off season I promise.

If we can't get worilds back I would take him for a year.

If this mother fucker takes the Super bowl to London I'm done with the NFL completely. This is God damn America's game.

Dumervil is about to turn 30 and really didn't have a good year last year I wouldn't depend on him. If Suggs will rework his deal there is no way you let him go.

Or a a magician in the pocket like Ben is. Pressure dies a lot of things inside a QBs head especially if they are banged up already. You're gonna see passes start sailing or hitting the dirt. I don't care who it is Brady, Manning, Ben, or Rodgers it doesn't matter they all have a brain that sys I don't want to get hit anymore so let me rush this throw.

With the exception to DE and NE it looks as if they flippedt he Bengals and steelers schedules. Your homes are our aways.

Lmao at the new title of this thread
-
You don't believe in Tomlins theory of weapons protect the qb as well as the line. Lmao he doesn't even buy that anymore.

The average career for an NFL running back is like 4 years. I'm not blasting Joe here but ray rice carried your offense for awhile and I think it's catching up to him. I said it before the season and was blasted for it but if you consider he was averaging like 35 touches a game for what 6 years now that's going to wear you down.
-
I think that is what they are saying to baltimore

What a lot of people ignore is the fact this is the exact same years in that Cowher struggled and missed three straight playoffs. 6 years after Cowher retired we went to the super bowl and Tomlins players contributed in that. The last two years have been rough but you can see the turn around coming. Tomlin has drafted some very good players and to compare the Steelers to the cowboys of late is a little bit of a stretch. Tomlin wont get fired any time soon nor should he and when it comes to continuity I think a lot of teams need to take a page from the steelers book. How the hell can you give a coach anything less then 3 years is beyond me really I think they should get 5.

We are 13 million over right now. Cuts that are coming Ike will save us 7, woodley 8, and Levi Brown will save us 6 that right there is 21 million.. Troy will be another Harrison situation take a pay cut or leave and id he leaves there is another 10 million. Ben will also get a new deal that wont cost us 18 million dollars. All those players getting cut have their replacement waiting for them with the exception of troy but I think he will take a pay cut. The Steelers are in a much better position then before. From everything I read Heyward really took over a lot of the leadership on the defense and Vince Williams did as well.
-
Ben is 31 not that old for a qb anymore. Troy is up there but played very well this year. Why bring up super bowls when Ben and Troy have been to 3? Woodley, Clark, Taylor, the beard, and Foote will all be gone next year leaving Troy as the only 30 year old on our defense. That old and slow tag is gone now.

I like that idea. Change the meaning of the franchise tag.
