Lmao Gilbert isn't a RT he is a pass blocker and not built to battle bull rushing rolbs. We have been over Adams and as I pointed out earlier you can see a direct impact from his play. We have a guy going into his fourth a guy into his third and two into their second year. The up side to this oline is huge. That article also leaves out the Steelers changed oline coaches and schemes. I'm the most confident in this line as I have been in a long time. Another thing about olinemen is they need to be a unit and in order to do that you need to play together. It seemed like last year the Steelers had a different oline every week. These guys have been killing themselves as a unit in the weight room all off-season. Little things like that go a long way when it comes to cohesion.

Yeah Ben let a 10 point fourth quarter lead go against the cards and troy threw two perfect passes to Holmes. Also if you remember in 05 he threw the team on his back in the playoffs. He was 22 and starting in the super bowl nerves got to him just like a bunch of older people before him.
-
How the hell is David Wright going to leave Alvarez off the NL homerun derby team. I would love to see his power on display because dude absolutely mashes the ball.
-
Like I said I want to see what it is like if the line stays healthy and have a running game you have to respect. As long as those two things happen with this new offense Ben won't be taking as many hits.
-
He's like that boxer that no matter how hard you hit him or how often you hit him he is getting back up. After so many times you have to start respecting that. That's what made the old school players so great. They were men.
-
All abs have their faults and accuracy is one of flaccos. He throws a nice deep ball but inside 20 yards he seems to over throw or under throw the receiver.
-
Just to be fair here Ben holds onto the ball way too long and has too Mich of a gunslinger mentality and throws some stupid passes at times.
-
Lord no like I said Joe is a good qb and has the it factor. Flacco has a huge arm as well. There is a lot to like about him but accuracy is not one of those things.
-
There's no denying he has been beat up but he keeps picking himself up. If you can't respect the way he plays and the football big Ben then you don't respect football. His off the field life may have went through a rough patch but so have many others and so far he seems to have turned it around like a few others have. On the field though he is a warrior. The injury last year was a freak injury and Ben was on pace for his fewest hits ever so as long as the line stays healthy and the quick strike offense keeps rolling Ben will be fine. Hopefully having a run game will help out a lot as well.
-
Still in most cases the RB is within ten yards of the qb. I'm not saying flacco is bad but his accuracy is average at best. That's one of those stats that count ya know. I don't really care about yards or tds or really even ints those are all stats easily influenced by other factors. Now completion percentage can as well but not as much

I wouldn't call it surgery he had his knee scoped the same procedure he had four years ago on his other knee. The last part of last season Ben wasn't himself. Every sports writer and media type said you could see he wasn't ready to play. As I said in another thread that's more on tomlin then Ben. Of course the player especially big Ben is going to say he is ready to play its on the coach to say no. He was in the MVP talks before the injury. You will see this year he is going to have a monster year. With bell in the backfield and the new blocking scheme the Steelers are doing there is no more ignoring the run on defense. The "dink and dunk" offense was looking good last year and if you follow Haley his second year in a offense is when it explodes. We went from a look deep first offense to a look deep once or twice a game offense. That's a huge adjustment for the entire offense. The fact that they were still rolling along with it last season until the injury says very good things for this year. Sleep on the Steelers that's fine you would think you would have learned by now that the Steelers don't go away for long.
-
Pre injury the Steelers were rolling he was supposed to be out 6-8 weeks it's more on tomlin letting him comeback early then anything. How is your RB your leading pass catcher and you have that horrible of a completion percentage.
-
he came back too soon it was a 6-8 week injury and he came back in 3. In hindsight he should have been sat for the year. Hopefully the new line and blocking scheme keeps him upright

Will Ravens rely more on the deep ball?
thesteelhurtin replied to papasmurfbell's topic in Baltimore Ravens
All four AFCN teams ranked in the top 7 last year in defending the deep ball. -
You do realize before the injury last year which had nothing to do with the shape he was in he was on pace to have the best season of his career.
-
Hines a loser I don't think so he wins at everything we'll he probably won't win the ironman championshipbut heck at least he is doing it.
-
I'll take the first guy he can complete more then 55% of his passes. And way to use a pic from 4 years ago.

Just to prove my point per ESPN and your boy Hensley teams were 0 for 30 on passes 30 yards or more against the Steelers last year. So chuck it deep all you want. -
We got a young up in comer in will Johnson but he is more of an hback then a true fb. I miss the days of Dan the man kreider I know yinz don't but I sure do.
-
I know no Steelers but god I hope he ends up in the black and gold

saints and Ricky Williams

I'm on my phone but I didn't see her throw anything and he seemed to have antagonize her a little bit. And that was no "slap"

Run or pass? Mobile quarterbacks don't end up in Super Bowls

I wonder if kapernik would have started the whole year if he would have been in the top ten. I personally can't stand running qbs but then again I'm a football purest. My thing is it takes no skill tobsay well nobody is open let me run. I like and like Ben and flacco who can scramble and run when there is no other option. Uhhh I can't believe I just said that about flacco -
Yeah I read that I honestly think the pats are going to decline quickly.

Also from other reports he punched her in the face not slapped of course his agent is going to try and spin this. I got attacked by my ex wife and slapped her guess what she got arrested. If he got arrested there was obviously no signs of him being attacked. Also if big Ben got accused of anything you don't think he would get booted for a year arrest or not. If you are suspending people on the basis of conduct detrimental to the league then it applies to Jones no matter how long it has been since he caused trouble this is like his tenth incident.
