The Cubs didn't want Olson. That's why we tried sending him to San Diego for Pie, which never ended up happening since we got Freel instead.

A whole lot left to shake out... Lowe and Byrd are apparently both on the radar... along with many others. And who knows about trades.

 

If we don't get anyone else - outside of Uehara - I'd expect to see Waters up again... Liz, Sarfate and Albers are all possible too.

 

Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing Albers go. He did a great job in the pen in long relief (just like Sarfate in short relief). May not be able to translate it, but ... worth a shot.

 

Maybe the openings, though, like the catching opening... will pressure us to bring up some youth that we have heard talk about but haven't seen... Bergeson, Tillman, etc.
