  1. I would be worried about Rakers as well. He has a rocket for a leg, but he has kicked in a kicking friendly environment his whole career and still has problems making the big kick. Graham has kicked in the weather unfriendly AFC North his whole career, and save for last season, was a great kicker in this league. I'll take Graham.

And really just had problems in the Playoffs. My vote goes to Graham as well

  2. If anything I hope it is a night game so I can be home on my own couch and watch the game without interference from my husband's family, 80% which are female and want to talk the whole entire time and get offended by the word fuck :)

ROFLMAO. They would REALLY get offended if they watched football at my house.

  3. What would make you happier this year...

    A) Anquan Boldin making the Pro Bowl as a Raven, OR

    B) Ben Roethlisberger being exposed as a serial rapist.

Oh, that is too funny, but can I pick...

    C) All of the above.

  4. Flacco-to-Boldin Starts Saturday

Call it a coincidence, call it divine intervention, but Joe Flacco could be throwing his first pass to new Ravens wideout Anquan Boldin on Saturday.

The (now) teammates are both participating in a flag-football tournament in Arizona benefitting Kurt Warner’s foundation, First Things First, on Saturday.

“I don’t know if we’ll get some catch in,” Flacco said with a laugh Friday evening, just a few hours after the Ravens sent third- and fourth-round draft picks to the Cardinals for Boldin and a fifth. “Either way, it’s going to be pretty cool to meet the guy a day after we signed him.”

The typically-calm Flacco was noticeably excited about the latest addition to his receiving corps.

Boldin, a three-time Pro Bowler who recorded 84 catches for 1,024 yards and four touchdowns last year, immediately takes the mantle as the Ravens’ top receiver, a position Flacco was glad to fill.

    ...

  5. Wide receiver Anquan Boldin after being traded to the Ravens:

"“I’m definitely excited. For me, I’ve been hoping for this for a year since I first heard that the Ravens might be interested in me. I even talked with Ray [Lewis] about it a year ago. I really look at this as a great opportunity for me. They love football in Baltimore. I know that from when the Cardinals played there a few years ago. That place was loud, very impressive by the fans. The Ravens play a certain way. They play as hard and as physical as any team in the league, and I want to add to that. I think I play the way they play.”

He added, "“I’m a piece of the puzzle for them. They have a great group of guys over there. They can run the ball behind a very good line with three running backs as good as anyone’s. The young quarterback, Joe Flacco, has already made his mark – two playoff teams in two years. That’s obviously pretty good. And, that defense… Everyone knows what they bring to every game. I’m just happy to be going to a team that has a lot going for it. I believe I can help them, maybe get them to another level. I think I’ll fit in with them. It’s going to be a lot of fun being a Raven.”

This is the bomb. Boldin is a burner who plays exactly like a Raven.

  6. What has happened to him? is he hurt? He really went south this year with his snaps, I doubt Cundiff would have hit the 50 yarder, but the snap was horrendous

Here is what Aaron Wilson had to say about him -

Following another bad snap from Matt Katula, who has been dealing with forearm, wrist and elbow problems, kicker Billy Cundiff missed a 37-yard field goal wide right on the final play of the half with Baltimore leading just 14-10.
  7. I am very saddened to hear about Chris Henry's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. I thought he was doing a pretty good job of turning his life and career around. May he rest in peace.

  8. ok you know what, the gift baskets of deodorant thing is funny

85 really does keep the game interesting. I think he just wants to get into your head. If your thinking about that deodorant when you're covering him, your not thinking about the play.

But, having said that, our guys seemed to have taken the joke just the way they need to so that they are letting it go for the game. They were even busting on each other and giving the deodorant away to other players during the week.

    Come on Ravens!!!

  9. Interesting tidbit about Flacco turning down endorsements. He is a pretty interesting character.

But I've seen him do some spots for little Mom & Pop companies. The guy is just NOT full of himself. I'm really impressed with not only his performance on the field, but his character off the field. I feel very lucky to have him in the purple fold.

I am a huge Chiefs fan (live in Baltimore) and as much as it pains me to type this, he WILL be traded to Baltimore before the deadline. He came in for a physical on Saturday (makes sense sine they were in DC this weekend) and also the team doctor confirmed this with a co-worker of mine. Baltimore is offering a 2nd and 5th round pick so if they can get under the cap after the trade this is a done deal. Sucks so bad and I don't see why Pioli would trade his only proven, good receiver for picks who never may amount to anything.

This is from the replies to this topic on PFT.

Obviously, I have no idea if this is true, but it probably can't hurt our receiving corp - as long as he can hold onto the ball.

  11. Receiver David Tyree, a hero of Super Bowl XLII who was unceremoniously dumped by the Giants roughly 20 months after giving the football-watching world one of the most thrilling and memorable highlights of all time, has agreed to terms with the Ravens.

Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, Tyree cut short his visit with the Bucs to sign with Baltimore.

He's expected to sign a contract later today.

    The rest...

  12. Yes, he was resigned. Brendon Ayanbadejo was been placed on injured reserve.

Anyone have an idea about what that means in regards to the conditional 7th rounder we got for him when we traded? Do we have to give it back now?

  13. During the Half Time show of the San Diego/Pittsburgh Game the panel was discussing the roughing the passer call on Suggs where he seemingly went low on Brady but barely touched him.

Harrison was asked what he thought of the call and said: "Horrible call. You cant make this call. And Tom Brady if you're listening, take off the skirt and put on some slacks... toughen up." Dungy agreed with Harrison.

  14. About the same amount he should fine his offensive coordinator for that quarterback sneak on 1st and 10.

That was one of the worst calls I've ever seen. Just as bad as Billick's draw plays on 3rd and 21.
