  7. There are a lot of characters and unique relationships in the Ravens locker room. Perhaps my favorite is the one shared by running back Ray Rice and left tackle Bryant McKinnie. Here’s why: Nature has made them the odd couple. Rice is the team’s shortest player at 5-foot-8. McKinnie is the biggest at 6-foot-8. They seem much more than a foot apart in height, but luckily their maturity is on the same level. The size jokes are never ending, and thoroughly entertain both. Rice likens their friendship to “Rob & Big,” a hilarious reality TV show featuring skateboarder/actor/producer Rob Dyrdek and his best friend and bodyguard Christopher "Big Black" Boykin. Guess who’s who. McKinnie says they’re more like characters in the movie “Twins.” Rice is Danny DeVito and McKinnie is Arnold Schwarzenegger. Rice has nicknamed McKinnie “Slim Slow.” McKinnie nicknamed Rice “Shorty Smalls.” At practice, Rice often sprints directly at McKinnie, then swerves at the last second. It’s as if a Volkswagen Beetle is playing chicken with a Hummer. Rice does it just to see the big guy sweat and flail wildly in pursuit. “I’m like that gnat at the barbeque that you just can’t catch,” Rice said. “I’m that gnat that keeps getting on his nerves.” http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/The-Caw-Bryant-McKinnie-And-Ray-Rices-Odd-Relationship/bb47c69b-2c3a-4274-abf0-8e966607f67c?mobile-id=753677&media-type=N

  20. The Defense is awesome, we kept Cam Newton totally in check, I seen great run stuffin with Canty, Spears and Ngata..heated pressure on numerous occasions by T-Sizz and Dr Doom. I really liked the play of Smith at MLB. He will only get better and wiser. The DB's are agressive, sometimes too agressive, Webby looked great back out there, 2 weeks from now that would have been a pick off for him. All in all the first team D did a fantastic job only surrendering 6 points to Cam & co. The O-Line, I have mixed feelings on them, the pass protection was shoddy at best, seems the D was in Joes face quite a few times, Ray Rice had a couple of decent runs and finished with almost 4 yards a carry, whereas Pierce carried 10 times for 7 yards. I know it was Yandas first game, and he did open 2 beautiful holes for Rice, we need consistency from the o-line..Ose was owned last night.. Loved the opening drive when Joe went 5 for 5 with Jones & Smith in there. Also loved the fact that after that drive Joe went to the coaches and asked for the guys fighting for that 3rd spot to get playing time with the first team o-line. Marlon Brown, WOW what a catch!!! That was either a career ender the way he split defenders, or #1 highlight on ESPN, Joe threw that missle, but the catch was spectacular.. Joe found a new/old 3rd down Don, in Brandon Stokely, nice to see him back in Purple. Dallas Clark, meh, 2 dropped balls puts you on my "I dont like you list'
