  1. Back in January, our old PFT buddy Aaron Wilson speculated that Todd Heap may have played his last game as a Baltimore Raven. The events of draft weekend certainly support that theory. Baltimore drafted back-to-back tight ends: Ed Dickson in the third round and Dennis Pita in the fourth round. (The Ravens were reportedly set to take Dan Williams, but wound up with Sergio Kindle, Dickson, and Pita as the bounty of the Tim Tebow trade.) http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/category/rumor-mill/
  2. Here's a look at what other media are saying about the Ravens' draft: • ESPN.com's Mel Kiper Jr., gave the Ravens an A for their 2010 draft. Baltimore traded down and still loaded up on talent all over the place. In Round 2, they got both Sergio Kindle and Terrence Cody, a pair of guys who could have landed in the first round. They get a pair of fantastic tight end prospects in Ed Dickson and Dennis Pitta, continuing a promise to both buy and draft options for Joe Flacco. Love the Arthur Jones pick, a one-time Big Board guy who fell to the fifth round, mostly because of health issues. Even in the sixth, the Ravens got Ramon Harewood, a small-college tackle prospect who has a chance to develop. http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/bal-ravensroundup0424,0,1573148.story
  3. Sacks are only half of the equasion, show me a stat for "pressures", thats the tell tale, you throw that QB's timing off by 1/2 a second, and its a pick six or incomplete pass. If we can get 3/4 of the play out of a CB (Washington, Carr, or Foxy) we can have a succesful campaign as we did in 2000 with the beef boys up front..Back in 2000 we only had C-Mac back there on the left side, Starks and Herring both benefited from the play of the front 7.
  4. Wow!!! Thanks Spear, Maniac etal, and all the others that have posted vids and tid bits during this 3 day circus..Once again the Ravens have come up with a decent draft. 3 months til camp starts!!!
  5. Totally hated it, I feel empty missing most of the day 1 draft, even though we traded out of of our #1 I feel cheated. One can only hope that the ratings were down. And Saturday morn starting the draft at 10AM, WTF was that!!!
  6. Johnny Harbs up next on the NFL Channel
  7. Check out Cody vs Tennessee, he blocked 2 field goals, the last one being the game winner. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NucR2P2Ro-k
  8. Kindle also has narcolepsy and A.D.D.; conditions which DeCosta said did not play a part in the Ravens' war room discussions. "If it was a concern, we probably wouldn't have picked him," DeCosta said. On top of the medical issues, Kindle also has experienced some off-field incidents which have brought more of a cloud over him. The first was a DUI in 2007: "I just made a poor decision of getting in the car after having some drinks, and that was my fault," Kindle said. The second was another driving incident that took place in 2009: "You know, it just was a dumb decision on my part," Kindle said. "I was just texting and driving and having bad judgment." [/i] NICE!!! when did we start wearing orange and black stripes!!

  19. Dont Bo Hoo me, Microfracture Surgery is serious stuff ..
  20. At least one team took former Texas Longhorns linebacker Sergio Kindle off its draft board due to concerns about the health of his knees, a league source told ESPN Insider Adam Schefter on Friday. Several teams have been concerned Kindle could need microfracture surgery on his knee early in his career, the source said, which might explain his slide out of the first round of the NFL draft. The Baltimore Ravens apparently weren't too concerned with Kindle's health, picking him at No. 42 in the draft's second round. Rivals.com reported Thursday, according to some teams, Kindle's medical exams showed trauma on the knee that could limit his career. Several teams graded Kindle as a "serious" medical risk because of the knee. One team said it could require microfracture surgery, according to the report. Any surgery would not happen immediately or prevent Kindle from playing his rookie season, the source told Schefter.
