  1. I think he should change his number to #19
  2. #1 reason is pressure thats a no brainer, give Palmer time and he'll do the exact same thing he did at the ATM. #2 Win the turnover battle, it usually means you win the game. #3 Score early, get the crowd out of the game, unbelieleable there are still 5000 tickets left for this match-up, the face a blackout if not sold by this afternoon. #4 Pound the rock late, good ole Ravens Football, have a 2 score lead into the 4th quarter and then pound Ray, McClain and Willis..Control the clock, pound the rock!!!!
  3. Ravens open up as a 2 1/2 point favorite..Hmmmmmmm
  4. 35-17 Bengals We cant beat Cinncy, Carsom Palmer owns us he's 7-3 vs the Ravens
  5. We shall see who goes 10-6, and who doesn't! 10-6 would be a failure IMO, This Ravens team is a 14-2 to 12-4 product. 4-15-1 Bengals record after the bye week. 1-4-1 Palmers record after the bye.
  6. A bye is simply a week off. A little vacation time in the middle of the season. A chance to go home for a few days or spend some extra time with the family. It's also a time to heal some of those bruises from the first seven weeks of the season. But something mysterious must happen to the Bengals. Since the bye was first instituted in the 1990 season, the Bengals have won 4 games, lost 15 and tied one in the week following the bye. I'm not Mr Statistic, but I have to think that ranks with the worst of all time in the NFL. It makes no difference when the bye comes. In 2000, the Bengals had the bye in the first week of the season. They then proceeded to lose their opener to Cleveland. In 1999, the bye came on December 19, Week 14. They then lost in week 15 to the Ravens. Some bright light in the NFL office thought it would be fun to have two bye weeks in 1993. The Bengals came back and lost to the Chiefs and the Steelers. In 1996 and 1997, their bye week each time preceded games against the Denver Broncos. Denver beat them both times, once at Cinergy Field, the next year at Mile High Stadium. I guess it shouldn't be a secret that the Bengals are bad after a bye week. Over the past 20 years, they've been bad in just about any week of the season. The Rest
  7. I was willing to bet this was Michelle, the McNair, Ray Ray fan
  8. I'd rather finish strong than start strong..Unless this defense made monumental changes during the bye week, the last thing I want to see is the Ravens nursing a 4 point with 2 minutes to go, and Denver with the ball. Our 3 losses have occured with less than 1 minute to play.
  9. I picked against them against SD and they won, then I picked them the last three weeks and they lost. Maybe this is all my fault! AHHHH-HAAA, I knew there some sort of interference in my prediction for the last month!! I call mulligan for the month of October.
  10. Oh look what the cat drug out.
  11. Your curse is not fooled by reverse psychology. Just let me be, I'll get this ship righted. But seriously, this is a tough game to predict, if theres no change in the DB's and Front 7's play, They could have Boller back there and we'd make him look all world. Who's covering Marshall?
  12. If you care to research a bit, you'll see many of the preseason pundits had the Bengals at 2-5 at this point in the season with big losses against both the Steelers and the Ravens. And the exact same pundits had us 6-0 at this same time..What do they know?
  13. The hat trick for bird strikes. Ahh Billy, did you have to put it that way?? Something about the word "bird" and jet engines make me nervous everytime I board a plane.
  14. The Ravens and AirTran Airways today unveiled a custom-painted, purple and black Boeing 717 dubbed, Ravens 1. The purple and black trimmed aircraft with the Ravens logo on its tail taxi across the tarmac in a light rain at BWI. "Our partnership with the Ravens is now literally flying high and we are so excited about adding this great looking aircraft to our fleet," said Kirk Thornburg, AirTran Airways' vice president of maintenance and engineering. "We are happy to demonstrate our commitment to this great franchise and thriving city with this beautifully painted aircraft." Todd Heap and his family were on-board Ravens 1 as it taxied across the tarmac at BWI. more
  15. 35-17 Broncos Prove me wrong!!!
  16. and i know one thing, i will be crying a river of tears when he retires from football! No tears in football :>) Rejoice, thats what you need to do then sit back and consider how locky you to have been a Baltimore Fan, and what has happened in sports in general here. The greatest QB to play the game in Unitas, the greatest Short Stop in Ripken, the greatest 3rd baseman in Robinson, and without a doubt the greatest MLB in Ray Ray to ever play the game. And all that within 40, we are privledged here.
  17. It's really not that bad an outlook for us... but we do need to win some games, of course. We need to win one-two games that we are not projected to win..A win over the Colts would electrify this place, a win in Pittsburgh, that would do wonders too. Just keep your fingers and toes crossed that during the bye, they cured whatever was ailing the D-Line and came up with some kind of plan to get pressure on the opposing QB. And please dont judge the Bengals like that Colin, they will fall..I watched that game vs Chicago (If you want to call it that) The Bears didnt show up, the Bengals have a below average O-Line, Palmer is on borrowed time, that was their only solid win, Palmer is pulling games out of his ass, that well is going to run dry. They have been down this path before, they just got an early jump on their pattened 8-8 season.
  18. I doidnt watch it because through my travels the English & British hate American football, We were flat out told that Americans pussified rugby..Hey whatever.

    MNF Comedy

A Hardy Congrats go out to the Skids also. first team to face 6 straight winless teams in the history of the NFL..Way to capitalize on that cupcake schedule.
  20. Update time Crav. Bengals up 44-3. I'm just not seeing your predicted collapse. Which takes me back to mt origional beliefs, that the NFC is a JV conference..Bengals running up the score just backs up my claim.
  21. Hey dc, I know you dislike trends and things, but this one is interesting. Ravens are 3-3 vs Denver 3-0 at the ATM 0-3 @ Denver. I like our chances next week.
  22. By the way... The "Accuscore Report" on ESPN on the Ravens says we have a 40% chance at making the playoffs?? Take a guess as to what the biggest factor in that 40% chance is??? Probably that of the Ravens, Bengals, Jets, Dolphins and Chargers... 2 of those teams have to make the playoffs (again, assuming Steelers/Pats win divisions... but its a toss up either way). 2 of 5 is.... 40% If anything its 3 of 5 already or 60%, we own the tie breaker over San Diego so we really have to worry about and keep pace with is the Fins and Jets. I said it earlier that if we get hot and our division stays hot, we could put three from the AFCN in the playoffs. But in reality, I see Cinncy falling and falling quickly, they lost their best D player in Odom for the season. This weekend is big for us, and all we have to do is sit back with chips n dip. Minny will play tough in Pittsburgh, and Cinncy hosting the Bears, if they dont get any pressure on Cutler, the Bengals could be in for a long afternoon..Just think we could be a 1/2 game behind in the playoff chase all the while we were getting healthier.
  23. I cant see this rookie doing any worse than what we currently have at the CB position. With Rolle not playing again, you think its time to pull this kid off the practice squad and lets see what he can do? The physical tools seem to be there with him being iver 6ft. profile
  24. And it was our bad october, when november and december comes, Ravens normally do a lot better That is so true geo, we have stunk it up in Oct in prior years. We were also 3-3 at this point last year.
  25. Peter King was right on when he stated that the Ravens are scoring too fast on O, and not letting the D rest. 2 weeks ago I would have sworn that this is the cupcake of our schedule, Denver, Leaveland and Cinncy, if we are to make any splash in the playoff pool,These 3 are must wins. I like our chances ns Denver, thats a West team coming East for a 1 pm our time, 10am their time start, Cleveland will be in the W column, Cinncy, they seem to have a hold over us, we need to shake that. Joe had his best game as a rookie in Cinncy. 19 for 28 280, 2 tds and a 110+ passer rating. If the D can right their listing ship, we'll be right back on the playoff run. With the rest of the AFC in a funk as the Ravens are, if we get hot the AFCN could put 3 teams in the playoffs, If Cinncy holds up their part.
