  1. 5. . Mark Martin

Mark is kind of a momentum guy. As long as he gets off to a great start and things are going well, Mark will do well. I love him to death, but Mark can get down on himself and become very pessimistic. Of all the people I've ever known, there are probably two who I thought could win a championship at the age of 50: Bobby Allison, back in the day, and Mark Martin. Eventually, I believe he'll be able to enjoy that rocking chair I gave him, but right now he's real excited about driving for Rick (Hendrick).

    I thought he retired??

    The Rest

  2. Ravens running back Ray Rice had a successful rookie season because he won both the physical and mental battles. The second year shouldn't be as much of a grind.

Rice, though, still has a lot to prove, and he wants to become the all-around running back that coordinator Cam Cameron wants in his offense.

"This offseason, I'm going to do more catching and blocking," Rice said. "I'm going to prepare harder because I now know what it takes to play in this league. I'm going to prepare to get the ball in my hands somehow, some way - every way possible."

By the middle of the season, Rice, drafted in the second round out of Rutgers, had become a role player for the Ravens as a third-down weapon out of the backfield. He finished the season with 454 yards on 107 carries and had 273 yards on 33 receptions.

    26. Baltimore Ravens - *Hakeem Nicks (WR) North Carolina

SWEEEEET!!! wouldnt hear one negative out of this peanut gallery..

  4. How about we do away with it..Its a farce, cant blitz, they dont give 100% unless your name is Manning..

Play the game in Europe, really the Pro Bowl game is not entertaining at all.You put the so called greatest D players from both sides on the field and theres between 60-80 points scored combined.

  5. First... this pay-to-play shit is ridiculous... as I understand it, companies are supposed to pay fees on applications in the MILLIONS of dollars? How about we apply...

I could be wrong DC, but as I understand it it cost 6 million dollars for the right to get X amount of machines..Then you must build a building to meet the States Standards, or have a bldg in place (Laurel Park) that meets their standards.

  6. Denver, KC, and Oakland should not be a problem with our defense and physical run game.

Neither should Detroit or Green Bay..Palmer is going to be up in the air, I find it hard to believe that 4 months ago he needed Tommy John surgery, now somehow hes miraculously healed. Not buying it, so theres 2 more in the W column. Cleveland is Cleveland, 2 more there. If the Colts lose Harrison, then all of a sudden they have become smaller at the WR spot with Gonzo & Wayne..This could definately be a 13-3, 14-2 season for us.

  7. Congratulations, Miami Dolphins. You went from a 1-15 joke to inspirational AFC East champs and a trip to the playoffs.

Your reward? The NFL's most thankless schedule.

All four AFC East are in the same situation because they will play the AFC South and NFC South, divisions that produced four playoff teams. Nobody in the NFC South had a losing record.

The AFC East has four of the league's seven harshest schedules. Sending two teams to the playoffs will be extremely difficult in 2009. It's not unfathomable to imagine a 10-6 or 9-7 record taking the division.

The New England Patriots have the third-toughest schedule. Their opponents went 151-105 for a .580 winning percentage. The Buffalo Bills have the sixth-toughest (146-110, .570). The New York Jets are just a skosh behind the Bills because of a tie (145-110-1, .568).

But the Dolphins face the most rugged road, albeit barely.

  8. Gary has never been a good recruiter. Never. The post-championship classes have SUCKED. Horribly. He prefers to go after nobodies and make them something, he never goes after five stars. It's 'too easy' to win that way. That's how he's always been. Even Juan Dixon was a fixer-upper from JuCo.

Thats a little harsh dont you think?
