  1. The Baltimore Ravens make no apologies for their 6-0 record against losing teams, nor do they care about their perceived inability to hang with the NFL elite.

As they prepare to enter a challenging December, the Ravens are concerned only about prolonging a march toward the playoffs that has featured lopsided wins over hapless foes and overwhelming defeats against the league's upper class.

    more

  2. Gaither, Grubbs, Brown, Yanda, Terry.... Terry is solid but is injury prone need to find some young talent, chester has played surprisingly well but he still gets pushed back alot.

How bout the Old Man Willie Anderson..Once again our FO is 2nd to none, hes a nice cornerstone at the guard position.

  3. The auto industry, ah..The writing was on the wall when Katrina hit, gas prices went sky and never came back down til just last month..Thats over 3 years of the big 3 producing gas guzzlers, they should have seen the writing on the wall, Igot rid of all my guzzlers over a year ago..Its not the affordbility, it was why is it costing me 200 a week in gas to run this pick up truck back and forth to Baltimore 5 days a week.I traded it in and picked up 2 4 cylinder vehicles. I dont like them, they are too small but we had to adjust to the situation. Something the big 3, didn't do.

But I like my solution to the Big 3 bail out..Let the Oil Co's and their billion dollar quarterly profits bail them out. My money, your money should not be used in this bailout.

  4. How about this scenario..Stealers lose to NE, we win against the Stealers, that puts us in first, NE then hoilds the tiebreaker over the Stealers..The Stealers are home for the tourney.

BTW pre season I had us 11-5 at the worst.

  5. No, the Patirots don't equal the Dolphins. A common opponent is a game that both us and the Steelers have played. With the schedule the way it is, the common opponents are these:

    Cincinnati (twice each)

    Cleveland (twice each)

    Houston

    Indianapolis

    Tennessee

    Jacksonville

    NY Giants

    Dallas

    Washington

    Philadelphia.

In total, that is 12 of each of the teams 16 games. 2 more come from the games against each other. That leaves only two "uncommon games" for each team:

    Ravens: Dolphins and Raiders

    Steelers: Patriots and Chargers

So, if the Steelers lose to the Patriots, then if the teams finish tied, the Steelers will have the tiebreaker because they have to have one more win in the "common games" to make up for the loss in the "uncommon games."

    Here's an example:

Say both the Steelers and Ravens finish 11-5, with the Ravens beating the Steelers on 12/14 (the only way the tiebreaker can apply.

Against Oakland and Miami, the Ravens went 2-0

Against the Steelers, they went 1-1

Thus, in the 12 common games, the Ravens went 8-4

Now, assume that the Steelers lose to the Patriots

Against New England and San Diego, the Steelers would be 1-1

Against the Ravens, they would be 1-1

Thus, in the 12 common games, they'd be 9-3, one game better than the Ravens

Plug in any tied record for 11-5, and the result would be the same, its simple arithmetic. It is the Patriots that matter, not the Titans.

As far as SoV goes, that will be hard to decipher until later in the year, since so many things can change in team's records by then. However, at the moment the Steelers have the advantage (the numbers are in the last thread, don't feel like adding them up again).

  6. Sometimes I feel like you're taking his stance to an even further extreme.

No, its just the truth in his docs. And its not just F911 its the Healthcare Doc also..Maybe Im so much interested in his doc is because Im faced with a major decision in 24 months concerning healthcare..I wont have any coverage in 2 years when I choose to retire. Ive been pricing healthcare, its going to run me 600+ a month for coverage that we need. So maybe thats why Im in favor of a national healthcare.

  7. I did my first "Black Friday" in 30 years..We left the house at 4am still belching thanksgiving beer :)

There are some crazy people out there that time in the morning, but the bargains were there for the taken, we bought 1300 worth of goodies for 550.00 it wasnt a bad day..Heres a hint to avoid those long check out lines, I worked it twice once at Kohls and the other at Target..Check out lines were an hour long..I went to the jewelry counter and bought a watch battery, well you cant leave the jewelry counter without paying..

No line at all at either store and I was out of there in under 30 minutes.

  8. Did the NFL look after Iny during their last 5 games or what?

3 out of the last 5 are at home, and they have Cleveland, Cinncy, Detroit, Jax and their last game is against Tenn who in all likely will be resting their starters. There's 4 W's right there guaranteed.

I guess we have to mimmick or better than, what New England does since they are also at 7-4.

Our last 5 Cinncy, Skids, Pittsburp, Dallas and Jax We need to go 4-1 thru this stretch we also play 3 out 5 at the ATM

New England 5 remaining are Pittsburg, Seattle, Oakland, Arizona and Buffalo, with New England playing 3 out of 5 on the road Seattle, Oakland and Buffalo. That Buffalo game could loom large for us, as they also have an outside shot at the wildcard.

Its time to start biting your nails, the road to Tampa starts NOW...

  9. There are 2 sides to every prediction, theres the safe side, the what if's and theres the cocky side, which if you dont know me by now, Iam.

Im scared shitless going into Cinncy this Sunday to face a 1-9-1 team that has been eliminated from any post season talk, and that is getting CJ back after a weeks suspension from Marvy Lewis. the Ravens are playing decent football, on paper the Bengals are beat to hell on the D side of the ball..My cocky side says Ray Rice, McClain and Willis rush for 250 yards and 3 TD's between them, Flacco shreds their DB's for 250yds, Ravens D totally shuts down any kind of offensive movement from Cinncy. Sounds like a classic *** I'm stupid for thinking this game is easy *** 51-6 prediction eh?

We havent won in Cinncy since 2004, Cinncy can still make a statement in this 08 season by playing spoiler to those of us still in the playoff hunt. Its a DIVISIONAL game. Will we be overlooking the Bengals?, next week we have been moved to prime time against the Skids, on the horizon lies the hated rivals in the Stealers, the week after. Does Joltin Joe still have the stamina to go on, afterall in College last year, his season is just about over.

I dont know folks, I have a funny feeling about this game.

  10. Hey Kenny!!!

Michael Moore is a disgusting liberal, and I have absolutely no intellectual respect for anyone who takes to truth anything he spews without an attempt at educating themselves with the full issue; that is, Moore is not a political expert in any way whatsoever--he's a producer, and his views should not be taken for unquestioned fact in any circumstance.

Why is he a disgusting leberal..He doesn't have to be a political expert. Apparently the man has creditable sources, within the media chain. And I'll say it again, not ons source has discredited his docs. Everybody does the same as the do on the net.."Moore's a fat slob" he's making shit up bla bla bla..If the man is so wrong in his docs, how come hes never been sued by the Bush family for slander, he ripped them in f-911..

I happen to agree with his doc. on 911..Prove the man wrong.
