CAMP BATTLE?: The first official fight of training camp took place Wednesday -- the last camp practice that will be held at the Under Armour Performance Center this summer -- and it was a good one. Defensive end Arthur Jones and center Gino Gradkowski wrestled each other to the ground during one play. Jones wound up on top and both started swinging. Once the players separated themselves, it was back to business and the practice ended without another incident. View the full article

USING THEIR HANDS The secondary was particularly active in getting a hand on passes. Cornerbacks Jimmy Smith and Chykie Brown deflected two passes each, and outside linebacker Sergio Kindle tipped a Tyrod Taylor pass intended for rookie wide receiver Dorian Graham in the end zone. At one point, offensive coordinator Cam Cameron yelled at the offensive players on the sideline, “They’re reaching for the ball, and we’re not! Reach for the ball!” View the full article

The first priority for the Ravens defense has, and likely always will be, stopping the run. Whether Baltimore can continue that trend will likely depend on how well it can re-build its front seven after losing three key run-stuffing veterans. View the full article

Losses of Terrell Suggs, Jarret Johnson and Cory Redding won't change unit's success vs. the run, according to Haloti Ngata and Clarence BrooksThe Ravens have been ranked in the top 10 against the run in 12 of the last 13 years and in the top five for six consecutive seasons. But with the unit losing a pair of outside linebackers in Terrell Suggs (torn right Achilles tendon) and Jarret Johnson (free agent who departed for the San Diego Chargers) who were often overlooked for their ability to force opposing running backs to the middle of the defense, can the defense continue that strong tradition?
