  1. You took me to my first Colts game in 68 and I was hooked, had my own season ticket in 69, We missed only 2 games from 1969- that dreaded season in 1983.

You taught me have to save at a very early age. We grew together, played the stock market together. You took me to see my first pair of puppies at Bobby T's on Belair Rd. Remember the MNF game like it was yesterday, the day John Lennon was killed, and they interrupted the game, and some guy tossed a bottle thru the projection screen.

Pit Beef at Dannys every weekend. Remember the woman that was spraying bees with pepper spray while we sat down wind? LOL

Holloween Night Bon-Fire at Mt Vista Farm, now that was a good time even though I rolled a "Fall Guy" monster truck on the farm.

Fishing at the Gunpowder at Harford Rd, that was fun.

Trips to Cloverland Dairy for Ice Cream, then to Loch Raven to feed the fish at the big dam.

Twin Kiss on Reisterstown Rd, to get some home-made root beer

Moose Lodge, couldnt wait til I turned 18 to get in with you and Unk.

Traveling to NW PA to reunite with our Steeler Fans relatives.

    The Tall Ships in 1976..Harborplace.

Then you got transferred to first Greensboro, then Atlanta then AT&T settled you in Orlando. Thank God for cheap long distance calling. What did w talk everyday for 20+ years, and on the weekend probably two times.

Even when you were sick, you still found it in you to call me..You were a fighter pal, they gave you 3 months you turned it into 2 1/2 years.

Today you could fight no more, but it is OK Dad, we'll be fine, Your Kids, Grand Kids and Great-Grand Son will never forget you..You taught us well.

So while you and Johnny are watching us kick the Steelers butts this weekend, buy our old pal Sock a beer and cheer us on together.

    R.I.P Dad

Good post. I feel for your loss.

  2. Maybe the Cardinals are good.

I've watched them all year living out here in Arizona, and since the playoffs began, they've kicked it up several notches!

I'm thrilled seeing this. I arrived in Arizona way back in '88, the same year as the Cardinals, and it's NEVER been this crazy out here!

I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Arizona face Baltimore in the Superbowl. B)

  3. Steelers Owner Dan Rooney Responds to the WhoDey Revolution

    (IMG:http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii120/spbengals/6a00e550080ede8833010536b35c91970b.jpg)

Dan Rooney, longtime owner of the historically successful Pittsburgh Steelers, took the time to respond to Project Mayhem Task #7: WhoDey Revolution's letter to NFL Commish Roger Goodell asking him to intervene to force the Bengals ownership to stop taking advantage of the NFL's generous revenue sharing and work to field a competitive team.

Rooney, whose team has beaten the Bengals 8 times in the last 10 games and 10 of the last 14, seems to think that the "Bengals do everything the can to be a successful team." Really? Everything they can? Like having the smallest scouting department in the NFL? The Steelers have 11 full time player personnel staff - the Bengals have 3. Or being the team furthest North without an indoor training facility? Or undercutting your coaches authority by signing the exact troubled player they publicly stated they don't want back on the team?

So, sorry Mr. Rooney, the Bengals are certainly not doing "everything they can" to be successful. If things don't change, Mr. Rooney, your Steelers can expect two more easy wins a year.

So Dan Rooney thinks Mike Brown and his management team is doing everything they can to be successful!?! He must have confused his success beating the Bengals as our sick success.

    Eff that. <_<

  4. Dude...

I'm no Baltimore fan, but I'm pretty sure none would like to see someone proclaiming to be one singing "Manic Monday."

Good Lord...was he wearing one glove!?!

  5. Palmer started a throwing regimen in early December and by the Bengals' final week of practice, was throwing against a defense and said all felt good with his elbow and he'd hoped to avoid surgery.

"A defense?" Could they be more vague? Was it high school or a scrub ridden practice squad? This comment hardly fills me with confidence.
