  1.

So Suggs being out made them lose the start of the season? Well maybe Joe and Forset being out made them do betting at the end of the season.

Definitely the rest of the season. Think we would have won that first Clowns game that went into OT.

You don't think he would have added pressure in the other losses to make a difference? Dooom went down too.

80% of the team was hurt at one point, so yea, that helped them lose the start, middle and end of the season for

only 5 wins. Re-read the article in red. It showed how close those games were. Just one play and at the last

min of the game in each game.

  2. I didn't say when, I just said eventually we'll have to do it. There's demand for more room out

there now. Fans are pissed that they can't go to the practices like before and the Jets built a

stadium before the Cowboys so teams are going this way.

Right now only PSL holders get to watch them practice and only a few where before they

had 20,000 just for practice. GB has over 30,000 but there isn't anything to do in GB in the summer

time but they too are looking into expanding their facilities.

I've never been to them. Has anyone? They never had an open house when it was built, I think they

didn't have one. I would have been there if they had. They do have a nice cafeteria for free for

all employees and players. They can eat breakfeast, lunch and dinner there and Bisciotti pays for it

all. The idea is to get the players in the gym especially during the off seaosn.

  3. Jerry Jones, the flamboyant owner of the Cowboys is expanding his headquarters and training facility

by adding a small stadium of about 12,000 seats for fans to watch the practices, a little strip mall

of shops for um, shopping and a hotel to house the players during training camp.

This will definitely be a one of the kind deal and others will copy it. The Rams are definitely interested

for their new home in LA. He's even charging $4500 for PSLsin the stadium to watch the practices

    plus charging $350 pr mo.

    It's quite impressive.

I haven't been out to OM but from what I heard there's not enough room for all this. It was the coolest

training facility when built and some FAs like Trevor Pryce signed here after he saw the pics on the

    internet.

LOL - Indy by contrast has just a warehouse of executive offices and a field behind it. It's brand

new and colorful and nice on the inside but very small.

The Jets paid $75M for theirs about 5 years ago and it had a stadium for its fans to watch the

    practices on 4.5 fields.

Damn - I used to go to every practice at Westminister and we started off with 10,000 people pr

day. By the time they moved it there were over 25,000. The fri night inter squad game was on the

upper field then moved to the small stadium with so many people. Then Ravens stopped going

there during the lockout and liked staying at home and kept it that way.

Click on link and scroll down for pic. BTW, the woman on the right talking to Ford who paid for

the name of the practice stadium is Jones daughter. She will run the team when Jones dies.

She's the most powerful woman in NFL and chairs one of their most important commitees and is

a consultant to the Salvation Army or was.

Jones oil company owns the ground that the facility is on.

  4. LOL - Here are the details, no drugs or dui, no women. Well,he was with one but got sleepy

and went home and fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into the bldg and damaged it.

Cops said that was why he was being arrested and he looked at the cop and said you look

like the cop that gave me a ticket couple of years ago and the cop said yea and I'm taking

you to jail now. Suggs said can I call my mom when I get there.

He was also driving on a suspended license which is a minor offense but leaving the scene

of an accident after damaging property isn't.

    From the Sun:

  5. The enjoyment of trolling allows you to sleep.

These are the facts that let me sleep. Look at the first 6 games of the season and with

Suggs going down in the first game. Just like I said, a score in the final minute of the game,

then the Ravens split the rest of the season. It took the Clowns to OT to beat that depleted

    team.

As bad as they’ve been on defense, you can also make a pretty strong case that the Ravens are unlucky to be 1-5. While they required a staggering amount of luck to come back and win that Steelers game, they were within a fourth-quarter possession — or in other cases, even one play — of winning every other game. Steve Smith Sr. memorably dropped a touchdown pass against the Broncos in Week 1. Oakland and Cincinnati drove for game-winning scores in the final three minutes. Cleveland converted three third downs to kick a clinching field goal in overtime. Their five-point loss to the 49ers was probably the furthest the Ravens came from victory, and they finished that game on the San Francisco 35-yard line.

  6. Keep trolling and read this and weep. Here's a list of injured before Joe and Forsett went

down just about more than anyother team. They only need another impact player or

    two to get them back.

This is the fact Jack while your postings wouldn't be allowed on the other Ravens boards.

It's called trolling especially with that pic on every post. The other boards wouldn't allow it.

And it's a fact that we lost in Denver in the first game of the season at the end of the game when

their CB slapped the ball into SR's face in the final minute of the game w/o even our #1

draft pick who was injured on the first day of training camp. He might have made a play or two

to win that game but shit happens. He was out with 80% of the rest of the team down thru

    the season.

    http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Late-For-Work-1023-Do-Ravens-Have-More-Injuries-Than-Other-NFL-Teams/e4cc83e3-1ea5-4f28-ac95-b894df2ad1e1

  7. Ravens should have won the last two SBs including this year. Denver who won it beating them

in the last min of the 1st game, out there on the road, with Suggs going down. We should have won

that. Then 80% were injured afterward and Ravens lost 11 games by less than 8 points

all within the last min of the games.

Peter King said we would have gone to the SB and won it last year if not for the deleted

secondary and a guy they picked off the street that wasn't even playing football. They won

the wild card game in Piss with Melvin, then it took the best QB in the world and coach to

beat him in PO game in Foxboro and in Feb not to mention all their cheating, bending of

the rules and trickery vs a team with no defense. Ravens still should have won it but blew

    two leads of 2 TDs.

So on paper, Ravens should have been in SB50 and won it.

They should get a Buckner or Jack in this year's draft to get them back in plus the other

players they get drafting so high.

Trolls just don't know this stuff.

  8. That's what I said on the other thread. He played there before and not so good and never for

an entire year which is time needed to judge him if you're paying him all that FA money.

Also, he gets injured and Jensen filled in for him the other guy at LG the last 2 years.

But it seems Ozzie just made all the CAP room to sign KO.

  9. That's the right deal for Smurf. He'd love to see Flacco leave. Just look at the big pic

of Joe and the caption on his every post. That's what trolls do.

Every GM would jump if Joe was released. He knew when he signed the contract it would have

to be restructured when it smashed the CAP to pieces. Ozzie is bull shitting

saying this is not about the CAP. It's about keeping Joe Flacco.

It has everything to do with the CAP.

They hoped to shave about $8M off the CAP and Joe saved them $6M. They all negotiated

so that's what came out. It doubled the room they already had. Joe's a winner because he

gets historic guarantee to $44M plus 3 more years and the CAP is less for Ravens than what

    it was.

So the Ravens get $2M more by cutting D. Smith and Canty who is old and injured so that's

their $8M which might be enough to sign KO or someone else.

GB will have to do the same with Rogers.

  10. I just cut and pasted right from th eTMZ site. I didn't actually write it.

Yes a team can make the suspension. Since he is coming back from an injury and I suspect will be on the PUP list it would be a smart way to deal with it.

You typed the title of the thread in ALL CAPs.

  11. Smurf - you used all CAPS. Not supposed to. Trying to get attention heh. You would be happy

if they cut the whole damn team being from DC.

Did anyone read why he was arrested? It was due to suspended license over unpaid

    tickets.

OK, shit like that happens every day. He probably didn't know the license was suspended.

That happened to me once for unpaid seat belt ticket. I paid the ticket but court lost it and

suspended my registration. I never got suspension notice because I moved so I got caught

for driving with on a suspended registration. Had to call my niece to take me home. Cops

    wouldn't let me drive.

So I go before the judge and she said she could see that happening but all of this trouble for

not wearing my seat belt. She could have given me the max fine of $1,000 plus 65 days in

jail but since I was squeeky clean, never having a point on my record she let me off.

So let's see if Suggs gets off. Let's see the details before cutting him. Jimmy Smith was apprehended

a couple of years ago for interfering with an arrest but charges were eventually dismissed.

Oh, and on my situation. A month after the trial I got a check for $25 from the state. It was because

I paid twice for the seat belt ticket. They found the first check. I could have gone to jail over a clerical

    mistake by the court.

Like I said, shit happens especially with a certain troll on this board.

  12. With the Ravens @ #6 in the draft I see them getting an impact and game changer that

will put them back in the playoffs next year and the SB in a couple of years. Before the

season started SI and Peter King had Ravens winning SB 50.

Then they had 80% of the team on injured reserve including their stars like Joe,

and Suggs and Forsett at key positions.

They should be up and running this year and with the fusion of new guys from drafting so

high, Ravens will be back on top.

  13. I'd kind of like Von Miller myself but Ravens probably don't have enough money for him.

He'll probably stay in Denver anyway.

I'm not sure about KO @ LT anyway. It's not like he's done it for a long time. He just did well

for the 2d half of the season. He's never played an entire season at LT and is often injured

at LG. Ryan Jensen filled in well for him last year and he was injured in the beginning of this

    year.

Maybe Ravens should draft Ronnie Stanley and they can forget the left side and use this

new CAP space dollars for an Okung or some pass rusher.

  14. Many mocks have Spence rising up the board to Ravens at # 6. Not so fast says one of their

scouts. You have to be leery of these fast risers. Just because the media likes it doesn't means

it's so. Ravens are cautious about fast risers.

You have to produce at the combine and Spence didn't with a poor 40 time and other areas.

"If you want to be a top-10 pick, Noah, [you have to show] what kind of explosion you have," NFL Media’s Mike Mayock said.

Now it wouldn’t be surprising if Noah’s stock dips a bit post-combine. So where does he really belong in mock drafts and on draft boards? Likely somewhere in the middle, based on his tape.

Hortiz said the players to be especially dubious of are ones that come out of nowhere at the combine.

“The fast risers you worry about are the guys that maybe weren’t that good of a player or aren’t as good of a player as you think and then he goes to the combine and lights it up,” Hortiz said.

  15. The Ravens site has him and Ramsey as good fits for the secondary in the draft. No shit.

Ramsey? Really? Just about the entire city wants Ramsey in the draft but he'll go to the

JAGs unless they draft Myles Jack who wouldn't be bad for us if they take Ramsey.

So the site also lists Jackson as a good fit. He killed it at the Combines with one of the best

performances ever. He was 3rd fastest guy in the 40 time with under 4.4 speed (4.37) which is

phenominal for a cover guy standing at 6'. Now I like that at 6' because he could go up to

the big guys like AJ while Hargreaves is the best cover guy in the draft but could get pushed

    around at 5'9.

I never heard of this Jackson but I like the sound of him and Jack if Ramsey is gone. PFF

is very high on him while being impressed with his size and speed. This report was written

before the Combines and says if he displays the speed in Indy as he does on tape he'll

be great. he's not afraid of being beat deep.

  16. This is the purge of the Flacco fallout (new contract). They start cutting guys the next day.

Ravens will save $2M vs the CAP for each player. Smith could still return.

Did someone say spending that much on KO is too much on the o-line unless it was the

    LT position.

Um, someone hasn't been reading this forum with threads and posts stating Ravens want to pay

KO LT money and then release Monroe who is always injured. I posted quotes from him saying

that Ozzie wants him here as the LT and is doing everything he can to keep him. Doing Joe

might be enough to keep him here as the LT. I said might and only if he gives them a home town

    discount.

KO says he wants to stay and at LT. Someone will most likely offer more than Ravens and then

we'll have to draft Ronnie Stanley, the best LT on the board. That will keep us from drafting a

    Buckner or Hargreaves.

  17. None of the safeties drafted in the first round of that class did well. Kenny Vacarro of

Saints was suspended in his 2d season.

Eric Reid of SF did the best but they've been terrible lately as their SF window closed.

Elam's probs have been mainly mental than physical like learning where to be on the field.

Top coaching could have improved his game.

  18. Some people just don't get it and they compare apples and oranges. Here's 5 reasons why

this is a good deal for both parties. Joe of course gets $44M in guaranteed money.

Ravens save $6M under the CAP which might be enough to keep KO and they won't have to

draft LT Stlaney and concentrate on an impact player like Ramsey. If KO leaves they can

    sign another FA.

Flacco’s new deal spreads out his contract more evenly. That should give Newsome more flexibility to tweak the roster, and get the Ravens back to contending status.

  19. Guys will be moving up and down the boards now that their official times and other numbers are in.

Of all the guys we've been discussing I only see 2 performers in top 11.

Will Fuller was just discussed in one of the threads as possibly going in the lower first.

He'll shoot up the board now as one of the fastest men in the draft posting a 4.32 in the

    40 yard dash.

Ramsey was the other top performer we discussed in detail and is the guy most of us want

at #6. He ran a 4.41. I never heard of the other guys but here are their official numbers.
