i don't believe a word that comes out of a Gm's or owners mouth this time of year, if a GM/owner says" Player x" is who we are targeting, you better believe its just posturing. who is there right mind this time of year actually tells the public who they want to draft.
That's usually true with the likes of Ozzie but Jones goes by the beat of his own drummer and hasn't won
a ring since the 90s and got that one because he had Jimmy who was doing most of the drafting. If
Jerry says he wants someone, he wants him. He hasn't learned to blow smoke.
You didn't read where I poted Jerry had the card to turn in on Manziel but his son took it out of his hand
and turned in the card on Zack Martin who almost won rookie of year and made pro bowl as a rookie.

ts - good points. Teams use the value chart developed by Cowboys when Jimmy was there. Actually it
was an assistant. Each spot and each round of the draft is worth points and the higher you draft or
trade up to the costlier the points and higher draft pick you cough up.
Back when Ngata was still on the board Phil was about to draft for need instead of the bpa as he
learned from Ozzie all those years. He knew he was leaving the best payer in the draft on the
board and asked Oz if he wanted to trade up. The Eagles were behind him and they wanted Ngata
so Phil asked Oz if he wanted to trade up 1 spot to secure Ngata. Oz said, Phil, just draft who
you want to and we'll draft our guy. Then Oz looked at DeCosta for info on the value chart
and Eric said offer him a 6th so Oz did. Phil told that story to us at Nest 1 and said his old
pal did pretty well getting a 6th out of Ozzie.
Jones wants Treadwell, but the kind of thinking you just stated about possession type receivers and
the Ravens going for experience for the same guy is why they win and Jones aways loses.
NFL.com has Dallas down for one of the QBs, I think Goff. They originally said they wanted a QB for
Romeo to groom. Then a few weeks ago Jerry said he wants Treadwell and they could wait another
year for a QB so if he has control he'll get his QB.
HOwever, he's losing control as his son pulled a fast one on him. Jerry wanted Manziel bad and was
ready to turn the card in on him when his son yanked it out of his hands and turned a card in for
Zack Martin who just missed rookie of the year and made the pro bowl.
The Clowns just released Party Boy so Jimmy might get his qb yet.
Then he can get his weapon - Treadwell.
-
Theyre the best pass rushers and best CB in the draft.
-
Weddell turned down more money from someone else to play on a winning team.
-
Also known as Johnny Football and Party Boy which is what got him into this trouble.
He skipped a schedule for a concussion appointment and went to Vegas for couple of
days.
No one has seen him since but his publicist release as statement on twitter with Johnny
thanking the Browns for drafting him and playing in Cleve and especially the fans.
He wants to play for Dallas where Jones is reportidly infatuated with him. That might be true
because I just read that he was going to draft Manziel until it was time and his son took the
card out of his hand and turned one in with Zack Martin's name on it whom the organization
wanted.
Zack made all pro his first year and almost won OROY.

They'd have to trade up to Dallas to secure Ramsey and that would be too expensive.
Besides, NFL.COM saysthe JAGs wants Jack. See Jack thread.
Crave said the talking head down there are saying Jack so we might not have to do anything
but turn the card in for Ramsey.
We could have the possibilities of Bosa, Buckner, Tunsil, Ramsey, Stanley and Hargreaves to choose from.
If Tenn drafts Bosa, that leaves Tunsil on the board.
Cleve takes Wentz, QB
SD takes Buckner or Tunsil
Dal takes Treadwell
JAGs take Jack or Ramsey

Ravens interested in Percy Harvn. He's been injured a lot last few years but is only
27 so there's hope he'll rebound?

Myles Jack impressed over 124 reps from 32 teams at his personal workout day at UCLA.
He's sceduled for the 40 time tomorrow I think. He didn't any do of this at the combines
because of an injury but is still considered at top 5 player in the draft. He was cleared last
week for these workouts and will be a force if he is medically cleared.
NFL.com has him going to the JAGs which would free Ramsey to us.
What a great off season - Ramsey, Weddle, Watson and Wallace.
Boy oh boy - I cant wait.
Even if JAGs draft Ramsey, that would leave Jack to us and possibly Buckner if SD drafts
Tunsil. If they took Tunsil, it would leave Buckner and Ramsey or Jack to us.
What a draft that would make with those possibilities.

And speaking of Wallace, they might be laughing in Pisburgh but he said he'll get the last
laugh which is good for us. Ravens have beaten them 6 of 7 games with 2 sweeps
included so we'll be laughing but in NE Ozzie's old mentor, Bellicheat is saying damn, Oz,
way to go.

Watson Weddel Wallace
Watson Weddel Wallace
Watson Weddel Wallace
Watson Weddel Wallace
Watson Weddel Wallace
...................................
I'd say Ozzie and the front office are really pissed about last year. It's been a long time since an off season like this.
It's weally wacky.
Thats because they went to the playoffs 5 straight years in a row, then 6 of 7 years with a Super
Bowl trophy thrown in. Only injuries including to their #1 draft pick kept them from winning 2 more
SBs. They should have been to the last two and it took the best QB and head coach in the game
with a lot of cheating, trickery and bending of the rules at the right moment to defeat their
deleted secondary which blew a 2 TD lead twice in Foxboro and in February where they were 1
play from going back to the SB.
And even last year at this time SI and Peter King predicted the Ravens would win SB 50 because
on paper they had the best team in football. They lost their opener, and star, in the Week 1 on
the road in Denver and again on the last play of the game from winning it. Then at one point 80% of the
team is in the hospital but it still took the Clowns to OT for them to beat that depleted team.
Denver eventually won SB 50.
IN OZ WE TRUST!!!

For those not liking Wallace, blame HARBs. He just wouldn't let him give no for a answer and kept him
in the bldg. HARBs wanted him more than anyone. He better be right. Here's his comments on Wallace
plus the entire presser.

Yea, I'll give it a try but I like the other place for ribs a few blocks up - The Corner Stable with
the sign from Baltimore Magazine - BALTIMORE'S BEST RIBS.
Their crab cake and ribs platter is the best meal in all Baltimore for $28.

See the draft forum. Darian Thompson, a play maker, who needs some time to develop, not a starter right away, but with the right coaching, he should be an excellent starter before too long.
Oh and the jury is still out on Mosely, he blitzes well but still can't cover, nor play in zone and he misses on tackles as much as he makes a tackle.....
Thanks. I'll check him out, never seen him mentioned.
You're right, the jury is still out on Mosley but he's not a bust like Max put it. He had a great rookie season then entered the sophomore slump like many athletes do but the jury is still out. He should get some help in this draft. He didn't make as many tackles this year because D.Smith took so many away from him. He did well his
rookie year. He's aware of the situation and working on it.
-
They're laughing at him in Pissburgh and I just talked to 2 Piss fans something I rarely do but I wanted to get their
feelings on Wallace. One thought it was funny we got him and the other said he's washed up.
Wallace says here that he will get the last laugh. He knows they're laughing in Piss.
Mike Prestone said it's a good move same with Weddle. He says getting everything they need will take two
drafts for the SB but they should have enough for the POs next year and everyone will be happy with that.
Ravens needed speed as mentioned now just think if Perriman returns well. That is really some fast legs and
even the Squeelers fans said he is fast. They just don't think he can catch.
Speaking of those QBs above, Wallace chose Ravens because of Flacco who also made these signings
possible by retstructuring his contract.
-
82 - Andy Nelso has a pretty good ribs and pork place on York Road in Cockeysville.
You should try it out and meet him. He's usually in there talking to people.
-
Oustanding. I know his age was a question mark for some, but keep in mind, safeties have one of the longest shelf lives in the NFL.
Now they have real leadership and play making ability back there.
Draft the Boise kid, Thompson in the second.....
Who is the Boise kid? Haven't seen him in any top 6 of mocks.
-
Not always, we told him no on every Bama player he wanted to draft and on the last two safeties he drafted.....
Good thing Ozzie didn't listen to you on CJ Mosley and JJ. We wanted Zack Martin who was drafted by
Dallas ahead of us but CJ was Ozzie's guy all along. Missed rookie of year by 7 votes do
Donald who had a ton of sacks.
-
Worried about the age and giving up the comp pick, however, it we are to sign someone who's 31 best be a safety who has had outstanding metrics:
https://twitter.com/pff/status/709434946604167170
I hope we can sign Wallace, then load up on linebackers and corners in the draft.
Ditto on that. If Jags draft Ramsy as most mocks say, that leaves Jack and Spence to us as well as
Buckner if SD drafts Tunsil or it leaves Bosa to us if Tenn drafts Tunsil first as many drafts say.
Bad thing about Wallace is he didn't live up to his $60M contract. Not even close.
Maybe WEddle can coach Elam a thing or two about tackling and he can take over when he retires.
-
LOL - His looks alone should scare anyone from going near him with that
Mohawk hair style and muslim beard. Damn, I hate those things but that is one
mean mutha ficker.
-
He signed for $29M and $9 bonus - $7M now. Pissburgh was also interested in him but he
knew Steve Smith, SR and Weddle was more excited about the Ravens than any of the other teams
interested.
He's extremely durable playing every game for 4 years til a groin injury forced him out.
Strong tackler. They won't let a #1 choice go right away. Maybe Elam can learn from him. They
should have brought Ed Reed back to coach Elam. He's in Buff now.
-
Per Ravens site and rumor has it that Wallace is coming in for an interview.
-
One of the best ever? The reason Ozzie is getting these comp picks is because he drafts so well and
near the bottom of the draft. Everyone wants who he doesn't want like Kruger the Beat-lol.
-
He has a major learning curve to go through. I've been watching all season, with a rush in his face against better defenses than Tulsa, not so good... Oh and Papa, in College, Joe hit receivers in stride on deep routes, too.... They all do, but timing gets messed up in the pros for a few years due to many factors.....
Like no weapons to throw to and superior corners covering them. When have Ravens drafted a truly
good receiver? Mark Clayton you say? Yea, sure. Dem Wills? LOL
-
There are now 9 TE's on the roster.
LOL - Yea guys like Waller that used to be WR.
But I said last year they should try him as TE as tall as he is. He'd get some great
mis-matches vs linebackers on crossing patterns with Maxx or Gilmore. I think they
tried him a couple of times but at this point little or no experience at TE.
Ravens have enough CAP space for Weddle and Wallace

Not if they draft Tunsil or Stanley.
1. Tenn - Bosa
2. Ceve - Wentz, QB
3. SD - Buckner
4. Dall - Treadwell
5. JAGs - Ramsey
Tunsil, Stanley would be left as will Jack, Hargreaves and Spence.
Tunsil would be the bpa there and the position of need at LT. Oz would be tripping over himself turning
the card in on Tunsil.
