Joe doesn't stay late or come in early , Joe doesn't care enough about winning to do that, of course he wants to win but doesn't do the extra things it takes to get the results. And why would you ask players he's playing with now if Joe Is passionate, do you really think anyone on the team right now is going to say Joe is not passionate. You don't have to be demonstrative or animated to be passionate , but it would show in his preparation , and his preparation is the bare minimum.

the article was right on point, the playoff run was a fluke and his play since then has proven that, and the worse move Ozzie has made these past few years was signing Flacco and then extending him. We are paying an average QB top dollar , i can name ten Qb's that would have had us in the playoffs all 3 years since the superbowl and none of them make as much money as Flacco, so if you want to blame Ozzie for anything blame him for all of the Cap space that Flacco's contract eats up. You see if Flacco's play matched his contract then any other bad picks or contracts that Ozzie is responsible for would not be as noticeable because our great QB would cover them up. Ozzie's most flagrant bad move is the Flacco contract and it's nice to see that others have noticed because most people round here are Flacco fans and not Raven fans.

ESPN can rank Flaccos run ahead of Montanas all they want. Flacco had a great run , i'm not disputing that, but Montana, when it was all said and done had 4 superbowl wins, so bringing up a single season playoff run is being a little disingenuous in terms of comparing the two. Are you saying that Flacco is in the same conversation as Montana regarding greatness? I don't think you are, you're bringing up the playoff run as a reason to overpay him, which was my original statement , you have to bring up those 4 games because thats your only argument for paying Joe all that money. Since getting his money Joe has won one playoff game, at least Ben has gotten his team to 3 Superbowls and has won 2 of them , Joe has been in 1. The Baltimore Ravens are my guys, but the last thing i'm going to do is get on another team for overpaying a QB, that would be the pot calling the kettle black. It looks like to me that Joe was riding the coat tails of a Ray Lewis Ed Reed led team, because he has done jack squat since they left except beat a Steelers team in the playoffs that was without Bell. Then the very next week throws an awful int in the endzone on what should have been the game winning drive.

How long before greedy Joe wants more than Luck? he is already not that far behind him anyway in terms of there contracts. Anytime someone other than Joe gets paid more than they deserve you people come on here and use winning a superbowl as the only basis for a QB getting a great contract. "Joe deserves the money because the ravens won the superbowl in 2012" as if there weren't 52 other players on that team, Joe did not win that superbowl by himself and if you think he did , why hasn't he one but one playoff game since. And if Luck getting this contract is really that bad of a move then you should be happy, that they don't know what there are doing.

whats wrong with players holding out for guaranteed money? they play a very violent physical game and should get as much money as they can while they can. When a QB gets a big contract the mindset is , well thats the going rate for a QB these days , why can't the going rate for a rookie include more guaranteed money?

so we should never draft a Wide receiver ever again because we have a bad history with them? if this guy doesn't work out , in the long run it was a 6th round pick and contrary to popular belief we have a pretty good wr corp right now if all goes well with injures.

whatever went wrong in San Fran with Kap is on San fran, whether it's because his coach leaving or the league figuring him out or the exodus of many good players on the defense thats there problem and i'm not even the point, i was just replying to the example you gave of Dilfer not knowing what he's talking about. Andrew Luck had a hell of a first three years and then stunk of the joint last year, should anyone that said he is next Tom brady be instantly discredited? We knew this was a project when we drafted him and most of us are not ready to give up on him after one weekend, Campanaro has not done a damn thing since he's been here and the fanbase are still willing to give this guy a chance surely we can give Reynolds more than one weekend to see if he can contribute or not.

If you're saying when these talking heads gives an opinion that just happens to be wrong that they need to be fired then there would be no talking heads. Dilfer saying that kapernik was revolutionizing the QB position was not that inaccurate at the time he said it. Kapernik had a hell of a 3 year run.

I don't think the team "crapped the bed" given what was going on in front of them and what they thought would be going on behind them i give them an overall grade of B+. Unlike some of the guys on here i'm not going to regurgitate an analysis that someone else has made and then come on here and try to pass it off as my own. Any pick can be second guessed from #1 to #300 , you can find fault in any player you want and you can find the the positives in any player, so for the people on here that are being negative about every pick, i say, get off of the couch and get yourself a woman maybe you wouldn't be so uptight , or rub one out if you have to.
