  1. I've been pitching this idea all year, but yeah, go radio guy. The only thing I've always asked, and noone has been able to answer this, is that is McGahees contract up? Or can we cut him without experiencing cap havoc? If neither is true, then the idea has no basis.

I think nobody really knows, and if we are working under the 2010 rules.. and FA.. does it come after the draft, how many or any games will they play and so on?

I bet Ozzie is not going to do much until they know more.

  2. McClaim hasn't been a rusher since HS. McClain even said when he came to the Ravens he was very surprised that he was running the ball. That same year, the McClain in the second half of the year was no where near as good as the McClain in the beginning of the year. He hasn't been the same rusher since. He's a blocker. I'm all for competition in camp, but if he doesn't bring it there, then it's time to move on. McGahee is still a solid back up. I agree we've paid him alot, however he's here and he's a great option as a second back.

True. When we used McClain either McGahee or Rice helped him. And yes McGahee is expensive, but he should also be ready and not over-used.

If Rice is hurt next year..

What would you prefere? a) McGahee, Parmele and a FB or b) McClain, Parmele and a FB.

  3. This is fantasyland so I am Against. Let McClain go, that Ovie Mughelli deal 30 mill four years ago.. Ovie had no PB at that time.. So what would that be now 40-50-60 mill? Hell no and not really a fan of his last offseason and his play this season.

We need so much more like a Santonio Holmes, LT, passrusher, ILB, safety and CB. Draft will not take care of all of those answers.

First priority however we need to resign Ngata and later Flacco.

And next year I am not even sure if is good business to resign Rice, tag him one year and then let him go.. And draft new RBs.

  4. We'll have to see how much the contract comes out too, but Harbaugh, Ozzie and Bisciotti all realize that Ngata is the best player on our defense. Big NTs can play well into their 30s, if there is someone you break the bank for, it's Ngata. You don't let your best player walk. The fact that Ngata showed up for Pagano's press conference at the end of the season, even though he isn't under contract, shows he wants to be back.

He is.. until march or april.

  5. This is really good news. Now for Koch and Ngata. I'd also like to see them sign Josh Wilson and Chris Carr if they can afford them.

If Ozzie is rigth the 2010 rules will be back.. and 2006-2007 draftpicks just like the 2008 draftpicks will be RFAs..

If so Koch, Ngata, Wilson, Gaither, Chester, Yanda, McClain, Landry, Burgess will be RFAs and all of them will likely be Ravens in 2011.. But some of them will not be happy.. see McClain, Landry, Wilson and Koch... And Ngata maybe Dallas or that neighbour will break the bank, sigh.

Leaving Bulger, Carr, Houser, TJ, Stallworth and Fabian as true FAs.

None of those is really needed.. I would like Carr back and maybe TJ/Stallworth but TJ migth give us a 3-4 round pick in 2012 if we let him go.

  6. I watched. All outcomes were expected. What the hell happened to Cutler? His knee better be destroyed, otherwise his teammates may never forgive him.

I thought for sure Chicago would come back and win with their third string QB. I mean, you can't let Pittsburgh face a tough opponent in the Super Bowl. Playing against the third sting QB would have sent me over the edge  Thankfully GB held on.

    Also, this: 1295838190631.gif

You see how that feels, Ben? Not very nice when someone forces himself on you.

Except both winners had a clon from Baltimore an OC named Cam and a DC named Mattison.

I guess you will hear from the fans of both winners .. predictable and conservative playcalling and prevent defense in the 3-4 Q.

oh that videoclip is in the same class like those typical disgusting steelers pics from cravn and maxs :scared:

  7. John Matsko has "been relieved of his duties.'

It was a terrible 2010 season, still better than 2007.

And the progress and dominance in 2008-09 was that not one of the strengths of this team?

The Sun; OL assistant Moeller seems to take over, seems to me the Sun is forgetting that he was arrested as late as september 2010. Even though Harbaugh love his old friends, and believe in second changes it seems to me this would be very unlike Harbs.

  8. Secondary.. it has been a weakness 2007-2010, it has also been hurt by injuries every single year.

The last four years we have lost at least two starters every year. Reed who have had his share of injuries lost ten games, Landry lost the 2008 season, Haruki and Zib have had injuries too.

Now CBs tell me about healthy CBs.. 2007-2008 lost both starters, 2009 Fox played all year and missed next season, and 2010 Carr the backup played all season. Fabian and Webb have had injuries too, Wilson added in the last minute and needed time.

In the AFC titel game 2008.. Steelers started Ike, McF, Pola and Clark.. sunday same shit. Despite that kind of continuety their secondary was not their strength.

Now Ravens is another story only Reed was back.. Reed who btw missed 6 games this year.. Steelers I thougth it was worse but Polamalu only missed two games, rest of them played every single game.

  9. Draft:

    OL. 1-2rd tackle and C/G.

Passrush, ILB and safety depending on Ray/Reed. FB in round 4-6.

WR and CB not my first priority.

    Resign Ngata, Koch and Cundiff!

Gaither and Wilson if possible, Chester and TJ or Stallworth maybe.

    L. McClain nope see you elsewhere.

And Mason and Birk please retire.

  10. Mirror image in games. Packers score 21 unanswered points...go into half up by 14...just like the Ravens.

Open second half? Rodgers is throwing, completing passes...they are running and guess what? They just scored a TD. Now they are up by 21...crowd has the 10,000 yard stare...silent...

That's the opportunity the Ravens blew. If they could have scored the first points of the second half....the crowd, energy and Steeler momentum would have been gone for the day.

And Ben and Rodgers has been in the league for 6-7 years, Ryan and Flacco is still boys in POs.

  11. Hey...

Thanks everyone for the welcome here this year as well.

I gotta say this much, I sure hope suggs finds a way to leave you guys for an NFC team! Dang I hate seeing that guy on the field. He really hurts us.

Well two first round picks.. or he will hount you for years, he just signed his life insurance last years.

  12. I totally agree, Max. Boldin dropped a sure TD pass and Housh a sure first down on the last drive. Joe was weak, the O-line sucked, and most of the offensive play calling was unimaginative and predictable.

One last thing: Where was Donte Stallworth?

I'm going to go be sick now...

And Ben and his OC used his third and forth WR to win this game.

Boldin, Mason and Stallworth for - 2 yards, disgusting.

And btw Defense is still the better unit. Not exactly what I thougth 3-4 month ago.

  13. I don't know if they told Redding to pick up the ball or if he did that himself, but they definitely saw him pick it up and pushed him along; it almost looked like Redding was going to pick up the ball and toss it to a ref or something at first.

Oh Redding did the thinking for sure by him self!

I am also sure at least one of the DBs saw the same and the other probably followed that thinking!

  14. The ravens have had some weird playoff TDs in the past, but Redding's was by far the weirdest. How was he the only dude to think of picking up that ball?

Reed and wilson did too.. you could see they were both thinking the same and followed him to the EZ.

  15. I disagree with you about Troy.

If he continues to play like he is now, the question is whether he is a first ballot HOF or not, not whether he is a HOF or not.

Ben has the career arc to put him in the HOF no problem. He simply needs to continue to play at this level.

Aaron Smith- Like I said, he won't make it, but that isn't because of his lack of talent. Its because 3/4 DE's do not get recognition. Their job is not sacks or even a lot of tackles in run support. Its to control gaps. Help the NT control the A gap, and also take up the Guards/tackles (both if possible) to open holes for the LB's to come in and fill the gaps to stop the run. Aaron Smith and Casey Hampton are two of the best at that position that have ever played the game... FOR THE 3-4 SCHEME. Even more specifically, for a 3-4 Zone blitz (or fire blitz) scheme.

As far as Ngata, Flacco, Wallace, Timmons, etc., definitely too early for any of them. BUt I do think they all have actually SHOWN potential to end up there.

All that said, my main point is this game. How much of a treat it is to watch all these guys on the same field. I have a feeling, in 20 years, we will be talking about the days we saw these games, in the same way Steeler and Raiders fans talk about the 70's games.

Aaron Smith, Hampton rigth on and so does Buddy Lee (Kelly Gregg)!
