He signed a then-record $120 million contract. Now, could he beat out LeBron James for an award?The Ravens have received four nominations for the 2013 ESPY Awards, including Flacco for Best Championship Performance. He completed 22 of 33 passes for 287 yards and three touchdowns, earning Super Bowl MVP honors. The other nominees for Best Championship Performance are: James, the NBA Finals MVP, World Series MVP Pablo Sandoval and Sprint Cup champion Brad Keselowski.The Ravens are also in the running for Best Team after beating the San Francisco 49ers, 34-31, in the Super Bowl. The other contenders are: the NHL’s Chicago Blackhawks, NBA’s Miami Heat, MLB’s San Francisco Giants, Alabama's football team, Oklahoma’s softball team and the U.S. women’s Olympic gymnastics squad.The Ravens' 38-35 double-overtime win at the Denver Broncos in the AFC divisional playoffs is up for Best Game. The other nominees are: the Boston Bruins’ Game 7 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs in the first round of the NHL playoffs and the Heat’s Game 6 victory over the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals.The other nomination is Ray Rice converting fourth-and-29 in San Diego, which is up for Best Play.
