vmax Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 “It feels good, especially if you win and get a W,” Schoop said after the Orioles (8-7) won their third straight game, seventh of their last 10 and moved above .500 for the first time since Opening Day. “It feels really, really good.”Read more: http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/orioles/bal-orioles-batter-red-sox-for-15-hits-in-seriesopening-84-win-at-fenway-park-20140418,0,6617919.story#ixzz2zKQ1UZqX That's what I'm talking about! This team is not that far apart from coming together and being highly competitive this season. The parts are in place with some more on the way. Quote
thundercleetz Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Extremely gutsy performance by Tillman. He got out of a bases loaded situation early in the game and took 120 pitches to get through five innings. Tillman did not have his best stuff but Buck stuck with him in the difficult fifth inning and Tillman came through with a strike out on a 3-2 count with the tying run at bat. Despite the high pitch count and walk number, he still only gave up three runs and got us the win. The guy is a horse with ice in his veins. By the way, Schoop has some awesome power. If he can stay at second base long-term (he's a big boy), having that sort of bat that can crank out doubles and home runs will be a real premium for us. Quote
