vmax
The Baltimore Ravens signed cornerback Chris Greenwood off the Minnesota Vikings' practice squad Wednesday. He essentially replaces Asa Jackson, who was placed on injured reserve Tuesday.Greenwood is the 13th cornerback that the Ravens have had on their 53-man roster this season and is the seventh cornerback added over the last 10 weeks. The Ravens added Greenwood for depth at a position where injuries have taken their toll. There is a good chance that Greenwood won't be active. The Ravens will likely suit up four cornerbacks Sunday in Houston: Lardarius Webb, Rashaan Melvin, Anthony Levine and Antoine Cason.A 2012 fifth-round pick of the Detroit Lions, Greenwood bounced around the Lions and Cowboys last season and failed to make the Lions' 53-man roster coming out of the preseason this year. He's played in three career games (all with Detroit last season), making six tackles and no interceptions.Greenwood, 25, has good size (6-foot-1, 193 pounds) and physical tools. He was considered a project after being drafted out of Albion, a Division III school in Michigan. This is a "Dude, Where's My car?" player.
