Ravens add HD to M&T Bank video boards

The Ravens have upgraded their video boards behind the end zones to high-definition screens in an attempt to enhance the fan experience at M&T Bank Stadium.

The screens will be first showcased at the NCAA lacrosse championships at the end of this month.

The hope is fans will feel like they are watching a flat-screen television, albeit one that is 100 feet wide and 24 feet in height.

and the facelift continues...

New turf installed at M&T Bank Stadium

The Ravens installed a newer version of the Sportexe artificial surface this week at M&T Bank Stadium. This represents the first time that the Ravens have put in a new field since changing from grass seven years ago.

"Our goal is to have the safest, most consistent playing surface in the NFL, and we believe we have it with Momentum 51," Ravens president Dick Cass said.

Unlike the old turf, the new one doesn't have team logos stitched into the end zones or midfield. That will allow the team to paint in specific logos for other games such as NCAA lacrosse, college football and high school football games.
