Tale of the Tape:
Height: 6-foot-2
Weight: 195 pounds
Strengths: Blair is a very versatile player that Utah used at free safety, strong safety and as a slot cornerback. He's an athletic player who loves to hit; his size and speed for the position jump off the page at you. It will be interesting as to where NFL teams think he is best suited. Blair has the size to cover tight ends as well as the speed and athletic makeup to cover running backs out of the backfield. I think free safety is his best spot when it's all said and done because of his speed. He has good football instincts.
Areas for Improvement: Blair is overly aggressive and has trouble in space deep in the defensive backfield; he can sometimes overrun deep balls. He goes for the big hit and takes bad angles at times, resulting in missed tackles.
Other Notes: Blair has some injury history with his knee; was set to attend Syracuse but was academically ineligible; was ejected for targeting in a couple of games at Utah; as a senior, was named second-team All-Pac 12 and was an honorable mention for Pac-12 All-Academic team.
Draft Projection: Blair seems like the type of player, and defensive back in particular, the Ravens have been taking in the later rounds. He should test well at the combine. This very versatile player should hear his name in the fourth or fifth round.
