Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco set season lows in the team’s 30-24 win against the New Orleans Saints Sunday, throwing just 20 passes, completing 10 of them, and tossing for 172 yards. With Ray Rice taking 31 handoffs and Willis McGahee taking seven more, the impression is that Flacco took it easy. Not so. According to offensive coordinator Cam Cameron, Flacco smartly checked out of plays and used the offense’s “alert package” about “two or three dozen” times against the Saints. “I know it looked like Joe just had an easy job at the office, but he really did an outstanding job of getting us in and out of plays all day and did it very subtly,” Cameron said.http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/blog/2010/12/flacco_busy_against_saints.html
