vmax
This should end that bust talk about him. He's really damn good and valuable....and a good guy.Jones makes it too. Good news on a good day for the Orioles...Britton jacks a home run and the O's beat the Braves 5-4. Wieters, the first Orioles catcher to make the club since Mickey Tettleton in 1989, is batting .262 with seven homers and 33 RBIs and has hit .425 (23-for-54) with runners in scoring position. Touted primarily for his hitting while in the minor leagues, Wieters has emerged as one of the best defensive catchers in baseball. He leads all major league catchers in runners caught stealing (22) and fielding percentage. He has made only one error all season, and he's the only catcher in baseball who has yet to allow a passed ball.http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/orioles/bal-matt-wieters-all-star-game-0703,0,7398932.story Edited July 3, 2011 by vmax
