Players could be on the field by Saturday

A source told Pro Football Talk that the Green Bay Packers are telling players to be ready to report for a team meeting on Saturday (although teams aren't supposed to be talking to players during the lockout).

 

ESPN Milwaukee later confirmed this report with two sources.

 

If the Super Bowl champions are preparing to restart operations by the end of the week, the Ravens could be doing the same at team headquarters in Owings Mills. An agreement in principle on a new deal between the NFL and its players could come as early as Tuesday.
