vmax Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 That's bold talk."Best in the league,” Webb said. "We have four or five guys with the caliber of starting.” Webb is the team’s top cornerback following a breakout campaign last year where he had five interceptions and 67 tackles. Behind him is last year’s starter Cary Williams and second-year corner Jimmy Smith, who will battle for the No. 2 spot. Webb thinks both of them are top-tier corners, and he was also impressed with the recent play of third-year cornerback Danny Gorrer and free-agent acquisition Corey Graham, who are competing for the No. 4 cornerback spot. "Danny Gorrer had a great camp,” Webb said. "He could go to any team and start. He’s in the right position and getting his hands on the ball. That’s something that you want to see.” If the pass rush drops off this year then they will have to cover longer. Quote
