zone coverage dead?

Looking around the league all the teams that run mostly zone coverage are struggling against the pass. The game has changed and wrs dont have to worry about getting cracked by a guy sitting in the zone. Also qbs are getting rid of the ball really quick now and that kills the confussion of the zone. it used to ne a qb didnt see a lot of zone until they made it to the pros well now a lot of college teams are running zone blitzes which are working at the college level but so does the option. Thats my view on it anyhow until you get down inside the redzone the zone defense is useless.
