OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- General manager Ozzie Newsome asked Eric Weddle last Friday if he was ready to go, and the Baltimore Ravens safety thought he was talking about an injury issue.

"No, you got a lot riding on this game," Newsome said.

After Weddle responded that the entire team has a lot invested in the Week 16 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts, Newsome clarified himself once again.

"You better bring it and you better have everyone ready because you have a $1 million bucks riding on this game," Newsome said.  :yeah:

That's when Weddle learned that he was closing in on a seven-figure incentive. His contract states that he gets an additional $1 million if he makes the Pro Bowl on the original ballot and the Ravens get to the playoffs in the same season.....http://www.espn.com/...s-make-playoffs

I say that he's got the whole team in film study and that he gets 2 picks Sunday.  :gorave:

"For 17 years, we could point to No. 52 and tell the other players: 'Follow his lead. Practice like Ray practices. Prepare like Ray prepares. Be a great teammate like him,'" Ravens general manager and executive vice president Ozzie Newsome said in a release from the team. "It was our privilege to have him as a Raven. We are all better for having him here. His play on gamedays speaks for itself.

"Even in that small group who have the honor of being a Hall of Famer, Ray stands out. When you talk about the great players of all time, no matter position, he is among the greatest of the great."

Yeah, he's due after last week. I was thinking the same, but at least one.
