  1. Well we still need a return man, punts and kickoffs, Hardy is an option but either of the receivers could give him a run for his money. Special teams was a weak spot last year, blocked kicks, big returns. Sure they got a bit better later in the year, but with all of the loses, these new recruits may make up the team.
  2. Yeah, mostly because of injury, some because of alcohol.
  3. Don't sleep on Tayvion Robinson, dude can make most any catch. While he won't run away from a lot of people, he can get open and make the circus catch when needed. Nice pick up
  4. I get it, they know more than we do, but my goodness, make him prove it, don't reward him to prove that you believe in him... Eric has made some great moves, but this one....
  5. Workouts: Week 1: May 20, May 22-23 Week 2: May 28, May 30-31 Week 3: June 3-4, June 6-7 Mandatory Minicamp: June 11-13
  6. Hmm, I don't care what the win rate stats garbage says, just watch the fricken tape; he ain't worth $13 mil. I sincerely hope he proves me wrong and gets 15 sacks this season, but I doubt it..
  7. I think he just got lost in the shuffle, a few runs of different positions, he was what, thought of as a 5th rounder? Just got lost, Ravens will be happy. At the least, a special teams player, maybe good depth at safety
  8. Too soon to really grade them, but on the surface, I would say a solid B+, maybe even an A, they landed two players the had rated high on their boards and who also filled a need. They should be great rotstional players to start, and be solid starters shortly. If they get the receiver to be a quality 3rd or 4th, as I suspsect, then yeah, A+. Of the street free agents, again too early, some may change their minds, sign elsewhere. But the Ravens are excellent at finding a Dimond in the rough or two. Some will fill out special teams, given how many players the Ravens lost to free agency. One maybe two, a runningback & or defensive player is likely to stick. Someone like Jamion Franklin, dt, 6'-2", 309, could stick as a rotational defensive tackle.
  9. In agreement so far, minds could change, more will be added I'm sure.
  10. 6th round, Camp arm, Devin Leary, qb, Kentucky Family member on staff? Why draft a guy who was likely to go undrafted? Members, no biggie
  11. Shame, would have been nice as a back up to Lamar
  12. He is no Perryman, while he does need to work on his hands, alot of those drops were from him trying to do too much after the NCAA, suspended him for some bogus reason about transferring. His speed, likely our kickoff return guy, will open up the field.
  13. Not sure I understand this pick, not fast, not much power, and a torn biceps too boot. Surely there were healthier, faster, or power runners left, even in the 5th...
  14. 5th round Rb Rasheen Ali, Marshall
  15. Tez Walker, wr, UNC, Nice pick, a big body with speed. Needs to fix his route running, but the kid can split thr safeties quickly and tracks the ball well.
  16. 4th round, TJ Tampa, corner, Iowa St. A converted wide out
  17. Another wasted PSU pick, man. I get it, 3rd round, slim Pickens, but at least take a chance on a player from another school. They may already have their guard in Rosengarden, I know that they were high on him and claim to want to give him reps at left tackle as compete for the right tackle spot. But he is not a very good run blocker, more of a finesse blocker. True, never gave up a sack, but then it's the pack 12, or was, and they moved Penix around a lot.
  18. Oops, Iggles trade up to nab DeJean... I wish they would stop thanking Detroit, man, every draft pick? Just announce the pick move along. The draft was so much better back in the day.
  19. Well, Sweat and Fiske just went off the board, I would love to have had one of them. Man, trades are flying early and often. The way this early round is going, I wonder if the Ravens will trade up or sit tight, maybe get DeJean anyway
  20. Extra, extra, read all about him, he is the fastest corner in the draft, at the combine, only a few 100's of a second kept him from being the fastest player at the combine. The dude is effort personafide, outstanding for someone so young, he will be 21 at the start of the season. Has the height and long arms to contend with big receivers, has the instincts to read a receiver and know when the ball is in the air, then breaking on the ball. As I said way above, he does tend to rely on his speed too often rather than technique, but that is coachable. Some stats, key stats, yeah, it sure was a "d" pick..
  21. Well they are entitled to their idiotic opinion
  22. Nate's highlights, dude can fly
  23. The Vikes made a huge mistake with McCarthy, wow. There is a reason Michigan would rather run 3 times and punt, and it wasn't just because they had a strong defense nor good running game. There are few edge rushers in this draft ready to step in right away, most need a few years. Plenty of offensive linemen left, even with that small run in the first many who can play right away. Defense linemen were thin to begin with but there are several who can be very good depth. Getting the speedy demon corner now was well worth it, 4.2 speed, coach him up on how best to use it.
  24. One word I think describes Wiggins, cagey. May be the best corner in the draft, could also be a while before we see him shine. He is not the most, toughest, takes chances relying on his speed too much, rather than technique and route recognition. Like you, I would have preferred DeSean over Wiggins, more versatile and a better tackler. But can't complain. I'm sure, with Legget on the board, many fans were, are, clamoring this morning.
