  1. Not sure he got robbed, he chose to stay with a winning franchise for good money rather than risk getting less from a bad team
  2. Welp, he has suposedly agreed to sign with the Stillers, though that still remians to be seen https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/45459152/aaron-rodgers-plans-sign-steelers-sources-say
  3. Elway had 27 tds and 21 picks in his 22 playoff/super bowls combined, going 14-8 in them. Great quarterbacks turn the ball over in the playoffs. Does Lamar need to clean up some of his picks, his fumbles? Yes, but not for the reason, perhaps, some think. Maybe his turnovers are forcing pressure on other players who try to do too much and also turn the ball over. Football is a true team game. It isn't basketball with five players on the court and one of them getting hot or cold = a win or loss. Nor Hockey, same. You know that I have been hard on Lamar, you are in the game threads, see my reactions with each play, read my posts, post game. Even so, I am so glad to have him as the Ravens quarterback, as we have seen the past few years, his passing has gotten so much better. This means that when his legs start to go, he will still be able to throw. It is the difference between him and all of the other running quarterbacks who came before him. Only Steve Young really stopped using his legs to gain yards and worked on his passing. The rest either got hurt, ending their running, and could hit the broadside of a barn with a hand grenade. Washed out.
  4. Yes, very crafty cap move. He gets a big pay day, enough, especially if invested correctly, sets up he and his family for a generation, the cap hit is easy.
  5. Yes, people don't realize how hard it is to come back from a lisfranc injury, especially for a wide out. Last year we got a glimpse of what a truly healthy Bateman can do, cutting, quickness, jittery, speed. With him and a healthy Flowers, both now fully acclimated to the NFL and Lamar now in full control of the offense and confident in his passing and pass catchers, this offense may just be better than last year's.
  6. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/ravens-sign-rashod-bateman-to-contract-extension Another year, another contract extension for wide receiver Rashod Bateman. The Ravens announced that Bateman has signed an extension with the team on Thursday morning. The team did not announce any terms of the deal, but multiple reports say it is a three-year, $36.75 million deal with $20 million in guaranteed money. Bateman signed an extension with the Ravens through the 2026 season last year, so he’s now tied to the team through the 2029 campaign.
  7. Good move, if healthy, he will continue to shine. That foot injury held him back a year and a half or so, tough to comeback from quickly.
  8. Bryant is really the last person to take a shot. As a frosh he was labled and bragged how he was the next deon sanders. Then reality set in, he started facing better qbs and receivers his sophmore and junior years and was exposed as a fraud.
  9. Harden is a regular season hero, but disappears in the playoffs...
  10. Still not sure what he said, don't have the snap chat nor any of the other social media garbage
  11. https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/ravens-otas-kickers-go-perfect-tyler-loop-john-hoyland-lamar-jackson The Ravens kicked off their second week of organized team activities without quarterback Lamar Jackson on the field, which left the start of the rookie kicker competition stealing the spotlight. Rookie kickers Tyler Loop and John Hoyland went a combined 6 for 6 on live kicks during Tuesday's practice session. Loop hit from 28, 30, and 32 yards. Then Hoyland connected from 34, 36, and 42 yards. Loop and Hoyland traded days kicking last week during OTAs, but that changed this week as the competition to replace Justin Tucker heats up. With Jackson not present, new backup quarterback Cooper Rush took the action with the starters and continued his process of getting up to speed with the offense. He made some nice throws down the sideline. Offensive Coordinator Todd Monken said he's not worried about Jackson's absence. "I always feel good about Lamar. He always comes in ready," Monken said. "He loves to play football. He loves his teammates. He loves the Ravens. … He'll be ready to, and we'll be ready to go against Buffalo come Sunday night." Here are other notes from Tuesday's OTAs practice: Andrew Vorhees ran with the starting offense with Ben Cleveland not present. Left tackle Ronnie Stanley was also not in attendance, which meant new veteran offensive tackle Joe Noteboom stepped into his spot. Outside linebacker Odafe Oweh showed that he's still moving well at his increased weight, sniffing out and stuffing a screen to running back Keaton Mitchell at the line of scrimmage. Offensive lineman turned undrafted rookie fullback Lucas Scott caught a pass in the flat during 11-on-11 drills. Undrafted inside linebacker Chandler Martin nearly came up with a pick for the second time during OTAs thus far. Tight end Isaiah Likely made two long receptions down the sideline from Rush. Cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis made a nice play at the end zone pylon breaking up a pass intended for DeAndre Hopkins. Armour-Davis continued to see a lot of action with the starters with Chidobe Awuzie out again (he was sick last week).
  12. The way Hill has been running, and picking up blitzes, the past 2 seasons, Mitchell will have to improve his blitz pick up to get a lot of playing time. I know he is a coaching favorite, but blitz pick up is serious business
  13. Also, Owe put on 20 lbs, muscle, let's see if it makes a difference in the contract year. Good to hear about Mitchell
  14. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/john-harbaugh-i-want-to-see-isaiah-likely-be-an-all-pro Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely is entering the final year of his rookie deal, recently noting that he’s focused on making plays happen rather than his contract. But if his head coach’s vision comes to fruition, Likely will be in line for a big payday moving forward. “I want to see [Likely] be an All-Pro,” John Harbaugh said in his press conference this week. “That’d be my goal for him, and he’s capable of it.” Likely has flashed his potential throughout his first three seasons. A fourth-round pick in 2022, he’s been the second tight end to Mark Andrews for much of his career. In last year’s season opener, he caught nine passes for 111 yards with a touchdown — and nearly had a second at the end of the game. But Likely didn’t have another 100-yard game for the rest of the season. His top output was four catches for 75 yards in a Week 11 loss to the Steelers. He ended the year with 42 receptions for 477 yards with six touchdowns. Entering 2025, Likely said this week that he sees himself as a versatile piece for the offensive unit. “I feel like in the offense, whether I’m out wide, in-line, in the backfield, anywhere, really just understanding [my job] and making plays where the plays really aren’t there to be made,” Likely said of his expectations for the upcoming season. “Just always trying to go the distance. Whether I catch a pass, whether I’m blocking down the field, always trying to make an explosive play happen while I’m on the field.” In 49 total games with 19 starts, Likely has 108 catches.
  15. Yep, unless he wants to test the waters, but I doubt any team would give him much more
  16. A side from being tall, I am not sure what all of the fuss is about Kolar? Has he shown any run after the catch ability, escapability? He should be easy to keep if they want him. Likely has earned the top the spot, improved his blocking, defiant in challenged catches, it's his ball. And yes, play making oozes out of his pores. Sure, would have been nice to get something for Andrews who has done nothing but be a true Raven, one of the best tightends in the game for many years, one of the best ever team wise and that is saying something, Ozzie, Heap, Shannon, Andrews, wow... And now Likely, what a run.... But Andrews has to be let go after the season, unless he wants a vet min deal to stay and retire a Raven.
  17. Eldest daughter will take control https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/carlie-irsay-gordon-is-expected-to-assume-control-of-the-colts
  18. His two daughters, according to the report, were both very involved in the team business, one or both of them I suppose
  19. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/45259729/indianapolis-colts-owner-ceo-jim-irsay-dies-65
  20. Lions pulled their playoff plan Though there's a desire among NFL executives to make late-season games more exciting and incentivize teams to play their starters in Week 18, there wasn't enough support from league owners to approve Detroit's proposal, so the Lions withdrew it before a formal vote. It could be revisited in the future, especially as the NFL pushes to expand to an 18-game schedule. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/45252578/lions-withdraw-proposal-change-nfl-playoff-seeding
  21. It's cowardly leaving it up to the owners to reneg on contracts, high dollar, if a player gets hurt in the Olympics
  22. Owners, absurdity, allowing, approve players to play in Olympic flag football...(equally absurd) No way would I want my star players, runningbacks, corners, safeties, wide outs, quarterbacks for the shifty, speedy ones, playing, no freaking way
  23. I'm on the fence to be honest. I do agree about winning a division, but there is something to be said for a team that goes 14-3, comes in 2nd in their strong division and has to go on the road to play a team that won their weak division at 7-9. Granted, this doesn't happen very often, but it seems to be happening more & more lately.
  24. Yeah, Brent has been a solid Raven player, works hard, does what ever they ask.
