After a demolition of the Browns, the Texans come to town in this win or go home time of year. Yes, the Texans scored on offense and defense, making the talking heads beam with how great their rookie quarterback played in his first playoff game. Make no mistake, he looked poised, polished, every bit professional as he threw darts, dropped dimes, tore a apart one of the supposed top defense in the regular season. But, the Cleveland defense had been on a downward spiral, giving up 20 points or more in 4 of their last six games, and to some pretty putrid offenses. We have to go all the way back to Week one of the regular season for the last time these two teams met, a game the Ravens won, 25-9. A lot has changed since then, a rookie quarterback has grown up, so too has the Ravens offense, now fully engaged with their new offensive system. Neither team is the same as the ones that squared off all those weeks ago. The Texans are playing with house money, first year head coach, rookie quarterback, but the Ravens seem to be on a mission. Yes, there might be a monkey on Lamar's back, needing to win in the playoffs after what appears to be another MVP performance in the regular season. The defense of the Ravens also has something to prove. Yes, they finished in the top 6, tied for 1st in takeaways, 31, 1st in pts allowed, 16.5 pts per game, and in sacks, 60. But 2 of the top 5 defenses in the regular season got shredded, their respective pass rushes disappeared, can the Ravens defense pick up where they left off?

Looks like it is Houston! Down go the Steelers
-
Well, thankfully we get the 4:30 time slot, no night game! Either Texans or Steelers, I'm fine with either of them.

Mike has to go, right? No playoff wins, a loses like yesterday? He may be a good coach, yes he even won a super bowl, with another team, but his teams come out flat ever since that big win. 37 pts per game, at home, yet they can't even score 20, when the game mattered, against a bad,/ average team like the Packers? Their vaunted pass rush was a no show, constant breaks in coverage from a top 5 defense. Does their DC have to go as well? If the Ravens play the same way this weekend, papa, get on your horse, because the same questions, statements will be said about Harbs.

2 of the top 5 regular season defenses, in yards, got shredded this weekend. That would be Cleveland and Dallas.
-
Hopefully the Ravens are watching this Cowboys vs Packers game, quite the lesson to be learned, especially if Dallas pulls this comeback off....

Yeah and playing the "be a part of history", come on man! It was at night so I only caught the first quarter. If I didn't get it free I would not pay for it.
-
I will add, pausing and fast forward are a pain, they don't show the screen moving, just the time..... so skipping commercials is tricky
-
I'm sure they will. Comcast gives out peacock free, warm mart plus gives out paramount plus for free.

The first pick, he was hit as he threw, hard luck. The 2nd on 4th & 2, it wad a predictable play, that throw should have gone a zone higher to I think it was Cooper, same side but a level deeper. But Joe is predictable and went shallow. Just as well, I would rather face Will Anderson rather than Myles Garret. Anderson doesn't scare me, Garrett can take over a game

I'm not too worried about Flowers, he is still getting used to this long season, remember, he is used to 10, maybe 12 games in college. The time off will do him good.

I wonder if Washington just hands the hc job to Bieniemy?
-
Under the premise that he is, it is simply using them together as they did before his injury. But Lamar now knows that he can throw to anyone, instead of fixating on Andrews. Essentially just taking Kolar off of the field, who has been a bit of a disappointment
-
If fully healthy, play em both just like before, only now you have a much better Likely, a more dangerous one...
-
Well, he is an African American, so no need to follow the Rooney Rule
-
They groomed him, likely had the plan in place
-
Billy B out in New England
-
Yeah, that was the biggest shocker. He got out just before college ball is ruined.. It's a great job but you better win and win the big games. I hear Lanning is in the running, but he would be a terrible choice. His teams always fall flat in big games, sometimes because of his dumb decisions
-
The list keeps growing, now Pete Carrol is out in Seattle, Rivera with the Skins, Atlanta is now open, and in college news, Nik Saban has retired

For you, for me, if a season has been exciting, if they have won a lot of games, especially when I expect them to lose, now that is a successful season, such as this one. 2019 was a bit disappointing only because they played so well, only lost 1 game that season. This year we saw a marked improvement in Lamar, in the offense, this without throwing far more. This offense became one of the best in the league, top 5 I believe, in redzone offense. Sure, I want to see the continued growth of Lamar, this team in the playoffs, win 1, 2 games, 3 games, but just as the season is over and the new one, the playoff season, starts, I won't consider this season a loss no matter what happens in the next few weeks.

Dolphins signed Houston and Irvin to try and sure up their pass rush and run defense. Two well over the hill, often injured..mmm The Ravens just need to win 3 games, one at a time any way, any how.
-
Well Harbs enjoys coaching, so I am not sure he will retire. As for losing both coordinators, we shall see but I am not buying it. Some guys are satisfied just being coordinators, Todd, at least, strikes me as one.

They haven't beaten a winning team AND, they can't play well in the cold. The Bill's are the hot team, one that could give the Ravens trouble. KC has a terrible offensive line, the Ravens edge rushers alone in VanNoy and Clowney should feast on their offensive tackles. Cleveland, as Papa said, has a legit defense and a very good tightend who alway kills the Ravens. But Joe is a statue, who is predictable, he will throw slants and when under pressure look to hit the tightend, exclusively. It why he is on pace to throw some 30 picks in a full season. They have built their wins on blown coverages, wide open receivers and tight ends. Frankly, all things being equal, if the Ravens play their game, nobody can beat them, no one scares me but the Ravens lack of focus. 4 loses, all winnable games, lost because of turnovers, drops, or as in the Pit game, that one doesn't count. Harbs is having them practice this week, a regular week practice, good for him. This team is healthy, talented, deep, don't let anyone stand in their way
-
Yeah, who know which Bill's team shows up. Looks like we face the winner of Browns vs Texans. I'm good with that, two teams playing better above their talent.

Hurts got hurt, a finger, but that can linger, out for the rest of the game. Eagles also lost their top 2 receivers, at least, for the rest of today's game, which is currently them being blown out by the Giants at half. Steelers got in by the skin of of their teeth..
