Yeah. He was a FA the same off season McNair was traded for. Brees was at first going to Mia but failed the physical. Then NO was the only other team to give him a look and got a NO friendly deal. But it isn't about what side of the ball they spend. It is more about how much they are spending on each part. Spending $4 per yr on a 30 yr old RB that broke a hip is insanity. I would not pay him more than $2 per and would not go higher than 2 seasons.

Basically I think he couldbe had for $1.5 per and pull in 30 balls for about 380 yds. That is more than solid production for the cap hit.

He was pretty productive in Buf. i think he can be had for below market value now. As a #3 or 4 WR I think he can produce way more than being paid for.
