  1. I agree that you need to keep players inline but Ellerbe dropped off the planet for what 10 weeks. I am fine with benching a guy when he is a screwup. But at some point he needs to be back on the field. I am fine with Gaither being sent away now. It is just a measured response that I am looking for.
  2. I think at least 3 of these problems should be fixed before he is given a new deal. Maybe with Pagano 1 problem may be solved. These are some of the reasons why the team doesn't win in a decisive manner and also is out manned in the playoffs.
  3. I know that but also Bluedot, Turbotax, and Allstate as well as all the rest of their advertisers start to walk away. That is a chunk of change. Also signage at the stadium. I know the Sun, Coke, Geico, Toyota, and many more are paying a chunk of change to have their signs. Tell them that their products are useless to you because they do business with Peter and they may walk away.
  4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XF5W7hy1WvI&feature=popt11us02 Oh yeah Cleveland too.

  6. That is where I have had an idea for a few yrs. Nester's Free the Birds thing is useless. If they can get a vocal organized group to boycott all the MASN sponsors that would work. Start making MASN a lot less profitable and he might walk away from the team.
  7. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=POyFvDgV2cU a little nsfw
  8. If people keep buying their BS they will keep bending you over.
  9. I thought he had a 5 year deal. If not I would not give him more than 2 more years right now. I want to see him correct problems with his coaching.
  10. So Harbs has 2 yrs left. Lets see if some of the problems with his coaching can be fixed this yr. It is not like he will be walking away after 2011.
  11. Now can you believe anything Tom Jackson says.
  12. Well that is the question. They are talking about giving Harbs a new deal. Why? I believe he has 2 yrs left on the first contract. I would like to see Harbs correct some of his coaching flaws before they do a new contract for him. They gave Billick new deals all the time also. You would think Steve would learn from that.
  13. A spray. Is there something in it that is banned?
  14. Is that the same way Fassell and Cavs called plays for Billick?
  15. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_d0HJ2Sopo&feature=popt11us05 http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/Tom-Jackson-insists-he-picked-Pats-because-it-d-?urn=nfl-309643 And Tom thanks for playing.
  16. If they retool I think they could have a 9-7 season that would leave them out but after a season out they can make a run again. The problem is I think NE will be smoking by then. I see them as a huge obstacle coming up.
  17. Word is also other teams were sniffing around for him. I think it is a good choice.
  18. HAHA that is fantastic.
  19. Players are a weird breed. Different things make them tick.
  20. The team may not need to be blown up but It needs retooling. It needs youth. Some long standing guys need to be shown the door. During the time when they get young and that youth gets experience they may stumble. That is part of getting better. This season our rookie TE's. They don't get to play until they are forced to. In NE they got thiers going early and and they played well. It reminds me of what this team did with Rabach and Brown. Never let them play and then find out to late that they are good. This team needs to start getting their young players worked in faster. That also gives you depth. As for Harbs I said he should not be fired. I want more data on him. Maybe with the departure of Mattisson the D will get better. I am thinking he was the problem with Suggs the beginning of the season. All of the sudden Suggs, JJ, and Redding all got going about mid season. That is to much of a coincidence for me. As for the window concept. It is real for the way many teams run their business. If you do what NE does and trade out older players for picks regularly then I do not see any reason you can't keep a run going indefinitely.
  21. That us verses the world kept the Ravens together that season. I am not sure they would have pulled it off without getting their heads in that space.
  22. I do not see Ray coaching anytime soon. Maybe he will pull a Singletary after he retired. Mike was out of it for like 12 yrs.
  23. So you want to only use little segment of my argument to make a point. OK. Well lets start by eliminating the teams that have no shot. They are the consistent failures that will do nothing for quite a while. Also how they are trending. Skins Down Bills Down Browns Up Raiders Up Lions Up Panthers Down 49ers Down Cardinals Down Seahawks the same Bengals Down Now the teams that are about to dig out of the hole and make the playoffs or just made it. Dolphins Down Texans Down Jags Up Titans Down Chiefs Up Broncos Down Cowboys Down Giants Down Falcons Up Bucs Up Rams Up Now the teams that are there but not quite great. Ravens the same Jets the same Chargers Down Eagles the same Bears Up Pack Up Finally the teams that look to hoist the trophy every year. Pats The same Steelers The same Saints Down Colts Down You need to always be getting better. If you are not you are falling back. I can eliminate at least half the league before the first game of the season every yr. Just because you are a little better than them so what. When the best teams have holes they look to plug them. They don't look to screw around with window dressing. The Ravens have screwed around for years with cheap fixes and halfhearted tries. That kind of way of doing business has to end. If it doesn't Bmore can sit their being a bridesmaid forever. Last I knew this was pro ball and the goal was to win a championship.
  24. Sure grab Plex after all these yrs in jail. That would be such a smart move. As for GM I guess he is grabbing a new gig before maybe he is asked to leave.
  25. The question is can they afford Ngata. With that ridiculous Albert deal and also with Suggs deal and how he is only now living up to it Ngata could get a $100 mil 6 yr deal with $40 mil upfront. If I were his agent I would argue that. If it gets to crazy numbers they might have to let him leave. I wanted them to resign him 3 yrs ago before he became a ridiculous stud. But why use forethought.
