That was great. I hope they whip the Squeelers ass. DC was that basically not how the Ravens acted in 2000 when they won the Lombardi? Were you critical then?
-
DC I have to ask. Have you played football? If so was your team consistently competitive? If it is then I really don't think you would be coming from where you are. Just be happy with what you have people are Skins, Browns, Bengals (Sry Billy), and Bills. They are just pleased to have a team around. Teams that want to win and go for the ring do not take failure lightly. They may not succeed this yr but are looking to be getting back on the top of the pile the next yr. The Steelers in 2007 went .500 the next yr they were holding the Lombardi Trophy. In 2003 they went 6-10. In 2004 they went 15-1 with Ben as a rookie. They got the ring in 2005. In 2001 the Pats made the unbelievable run and got the championship. Bill knew he had to revamp to do it again so they went 9-7 the next yr. In 2003-4 they got it back to back. In the next 2 seasons they were good but didn't get there. In 2007 again with Moss they ran off 18 in a row before losing in the SB. It didn't work but he tried a new plan. After that year Bill saw that the D was old and needed youth so since 2007 he has beet retooling it with lots of picks by trading old players away. Their D starting next yr will be sick. They have a solid O and I see a run of titles coming their way. Their is entirely to much status quo on the ravens. Lets do the same thing over and over and try to get different results. That is moronic. Mason said this yr that he was only coming back to win a ring. Basically Ray said the same thing. I knew before they ever went to Westminster that their time and effort had been wasted. This team was not built to win a title. It is close but not quite good enough. Billick and Ozzie have wasted basically a whole decade of great defense. Now it looks like Steve Bisciotti is going to give Harbs a new deal. I am not saying to fire him but I do think he needs to work on things. I do not like his review procedures. I do not like how his team regularly fall asleep during parts of games. I do not like how both of his coordinators seem to bash their heads into the wall trying to get their players to do things they can't do. I also do not like how he dumps guys in the doghouse for huge amounts of time even if they can be used to win games on Sundays. Harbs should come back but he needs to work within his original deal. Bisciotti gave Billick extensions haphazardly and it came back to bite him in the ass. I am wondering if the Ravens have a good owner or a flawed one.

That is what I have been saying. They are not advancing. At some point they start backwards. The team needs to bite the bullet and retool.
-
Gaither is gone. I would also add a deep threat, pass rusher of the edge and in the middle, and a CB. Obviously all this can not be fully done in 1 draft. It is time to minimum retool. I doubt Ozzie does it because he is to smart for everyone.

Keep Joe on his feet. Screens, draws, and a somewhat respectable run game are needed to slow the rush down. On D get to Ben. Keep him in the pocket and break him up inside.

Hell Joe has only been in the league for 3 seasons. Brees didn't break until yr 4.

The one big difference is the Squeelers are much better at a passrush throughout their personnel. The OL better hold up better or they are screwed.

OK if the kid gets smart then sure it can work. I can only go by what that franchise has become since the NFL forced Eddie D out. So far the Lions seem to be going in the right path but that is for now. Zona got themselves to a SB and seem to be heading backwards to what they innately are. Traditionally bad teams are that way because of bad ownership. good ones one the other hand are that way because of good ownership.
-
They should give them the ability to get flex games. The ratings are very high for all games this season. If that trend continues this isn't a bad deal. There is noway that 2bil will bankrupt Disney.
-
Well at least he is making some really good coin because he will have to rebuild his career when they fire him. I am not saying he is a bad coach in any way. What I am saying is the franchise sucks from the ownership down. The Yorks have their kid running the show. He does not seem to bright about running things. I said when Nolan was hired that it was a bad move to go there and he got about 2 yrs. Singletary got the same. I figure they fire Harbs in 3 yrs.
-
I do not see why this is a bad thing. He and his WIFE are into each other. No big deal. It is still funny though.
-
The RL52 clothing line. He is also doing some real estate thing. Last I knew up in Hunt Valley they had some big project.
-
He wont be active. He is still a project.
-
Just in what I have read about him he should strictly be a RT at the NFL level. That said I would go no higher than a 2nd. I would go RT so Yanda can go to RG. I want Yanda where he can do the most damage.
-
Couldn't happen to a better owner and fan base.
-
The OL needs to man up like Sunday the rest of the way.
-
The only problem is him in coverage. He is a liability now. I do not see Ray being a coach. He will run his business when he leaves playing. Maybe he will pull a Singletary and go into coach 10-15 yrs later.
