  1. No what I am saying is we are not really that well stocked in the minors. All the trades Andy made have pretty much gotten all the position players up already. What they need is 4-5 solid prospects at about every level pushing their way up.
  2. Umps don't like to go in behind a one of their own and change his call. It isn't about being wrong or right just cover his ass.
  3. It would not make the game longer but shorter. There would be no arguments about a call like last night. An ump in the pressbox calls down to say this is the call. Problem solved. I have the human element argument with officials. More with football than baseball. A 300 pound DL is trying to tackle a scrambling QB then the QB slides at the last posible second and the lineman hits the QB. The runner knows if and when he will slide not the tackler who is in the motion of tackling and momentum is carrying him now. Last I knew players are human and are stuck with the laws of physics. Bud should not change the call. "I'm sorry that it was called that way but the play must stand." What is done is done. You can fix the future. I was watching Mike and Mike this morning and they went through a very extensive list of bad calls by umps over the last 20-25 yrs. They had to have had at least 15 off the top of their heads including Jeffery Maeir.

  5. I say everything other than balls and strikes. I would go for a computer doing balls and strikes. It would not be that hard.

None of them are blowing the world away.
  7. I don't see that happening. If you win home field and the oportunity to be in the conference championship it is yours. That game is still more the fans and not the corprate interests.
  8. I think this will force Selig's hand. There will be replay on just about everything.
  9. What I mean is to have new kids pushing up through the system all the time. Right now unless Snyder or Bell turn around we have every position player of note already here. There is nobody of note left. It is continous bad drafting and development over 30 yrs.
  10. Not to much talent but funny. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FYHk9qyrSac&playnext_from=TL&videos=VdnsjRVwxsg&feature=feedu
  11. He was one of the greats. I still can't believe he has been in the league so long. It feels like he was a rookie a yr ago.
  12. I heard it said elsewhere but I agree that he has to do something quick. If they decide to go with the slow build there will be no fan base by the time they need to spend. I do think it could take 5+ more yrs to build up the farm system to the point it should be. They really are between a rock and a hard place. Trembley will be scapegoated for this but it was not his fault. If Adam Jones refuses to not play the field shallow what can he do? I think he should say mang be damned and let the kid take a seat but he has been the company man the whole way.

  15. Nobody wants their reputation ruined by this franchise. It will be another guy with zero options like Dave.
  16. People forget how dominate Boulware was around here. He was amazing until the shoulder and knee got him. Mac absolutly needs to be in. There would be no SB without him.
  17. They are not going to fire Trembly until they can find his replacement. The problem is nobody wants the job. I don't see him being fired until after the season.
  18. http://www.mdstad.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=78&Itemid=42 Do you mean how MSA and the O's fought about it for 3 yrs?
  19. You have a ton of hotels around BWI which is linked with downtown by the light rail. They have everything you need for a bid.

  23. I would not bet my life on that. These owners will want to get a big chunk of money by getting the game intheir stadium. Count on human nature to work for you sometimes.
