His SB prediction blows, but it was a nice read up to there.

Ohhhhhh, some more love, Im all giddy now... Seeing as NFL training camps across the league start in a little less than a week, I figured it was only natural for me to jump ahead all the way to the Super Bowl and predict which two teams will be lucky enough to compete in the big game and win Super Bowl XLV. First, I’m going to start with the loaded AFC. There are five or six teams in the AFC that could go on to win the Super Bowl and I would not be surprised in the least. The Colts, Patriots, Ravens, Chargers, Jets and even the Steelers who are only one season removed from winning it all have an equal shot at being crowned AFC champs. But there is one team in this group who stands out to me. They have a great mix of youth, athleticism and playoff experience. In addition, this team has added some great pieces this offseason through both the draft and free agency. Calm down all you Jets fans out there, I am not talking about you. I’m talking about the Baltimore Ravens. http://menversus.com/articles/My%20Super%20Prediction

"Anything less than a Super Bowl win, really, is a disappointment for us,'' veteran Ravens receiver Derrick Mason said in a recent radio interview. "I think we've done more than enough over the last three years to put ourselves in position to win a championship. To do all we've done and not come out of this thing with a championship would be disheartening, especially for me because I'm looking at one, two years tops before I leave. "I know a lot of the older guys on this team want to win a championship before they hang their cleats up. I just feel we are primed, and put together a great team. This is our opportunity to win a championship.'' MAN IM EFFIN CRANKED!!!!!

7. Pittsburgh Steelers: OK, let's get this out of the way: Roethlisberger is a mess off the field and that's the reason the Steelers aren't ranked No. 4 overall, if not higher. His suspension means Byron Leftwich is the likely starter to open the season. Further, Roethlisberger has tarnished the incredible legacy he was in the midst of building. Yeah, he's unconventional and people like me have taken a long time to warm to how he plays, but he's a truly stunning player when you really look at the results, which include some dazzling playoff numbers. 11. Cincinnati Bengals: There was a time that Carson Palmer(notes) threw the ball like a Greek god and put up numbers to match. Age, injury and changes to the receiving corps have altered the view of Palmer, who now appears to be at something of a crossroads in his career. It's worth wondering whether Palmer, 30, will ever really deliver on his promise or whether his career will get swallowed up by the swirling vortex of suckage that is the Bengals organization. 13. Baltimore Ravens: For those who doubted then-rookie Joe Flacco(notes) two years ago (yeah, yeah, that would include me), he has done a fabulous job as the starter. Now that he has a deep and diverse receiving corps (hello, Anquan Boldin(notes)), there's a chance that the defensive-minded Ravens might actually become an offensive team. Hey, Ray Lewis(notes) can't play forever, even if he thinks he can. 31. Cleveland Browns: The Browns purged the roster of Derek Anderson and Brady Quinn early in the offseason and then got Jake Delhomme(notes) and drafted Colt McCoy(notes). In short, they got an older (albeit more accomplished) version of the wild-armed Anderson and a guy with far less physical presence than Quinn. McCoy is the future, but he's unlikely to play this season. And if McCoy doesn't put on at least 20 pounds, opposing defensive linemen are going to snap him like a chicken wing when he finally does play. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=AsEZibN2JUJEpSXIEKMnyS7sYNAF?slug=jc-qbrankings051810

OK, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. I guess I just jumped to conclusions, with his bout as a head coach with the Skids...

I dont get it...But this time they cant blame a decision from George on their no-show. -
Jim Zorn Quarterbacks Coach This worries me to no end, Zorn was not that good of a QB himself, I really dont see how he can assist Joe. But if somehow, Zorn is a non factor and we do accomplish what we all think Joe can accomplish with some weapons, We will be attending a parade in February.

Derrick Mason declares Super Bowl or bust for Baltimore
cravnravn replied to papasmurfbell's topic in Baltimore Ravens
Yup, and Im being good this year, even though Im busting out inside, my expectations are extremely high for this team. As well as I want to see Flacco tear this league up, starting with the Stealers who's fans think that Air Joe is overrated. -
Im deeply offended by this move, Its my hobby dammit!!! I have never sold one piece of that Ive gotten autographed, never. What makes it bad is my kids are too old also, its what we've done as a family, me and the 2 boys go wondering off at camp, snag a few autographs and then come back and compare who we got. Just like I taught them fishing, Ive taught them to seek autographs. We have gotten our best pieces autographed at Ravens Camp. This is discrimination in the 3rd degree!!

George Steinbrenner died Tuesday morning, a person close to the longtime New York Yankees owner told The Associated Press. WABC-TV in New York reported that Steinbrenner, the Yankees' owner since 1973, suffered a massive heart attack. Steinbrenner According to reports, Steinbrenner, who celebrated his 80th birthday on July 4, was taken to a Tampa hospital after emergency crews responded to his home Monday night. Steinbrenner gave his sons, Hal and Hank, day-to-day control of the team in late 2007. He told The Associated Press last week that he was "feeling good" after spending a couple hours in his office at the Yankees' spring training complex. Under his ownership, the Yankees have won 11 AL pennants and seven World Series titles. Never trust British Petroleum after all this mess! I hope they go belly-up, they have ruined so many lives, so much scenery.
