He only can take a team just so far. Harbs desire to be THE unquestioned leader of the team left it with no leadership on the field nor apparently in the locker room (considering the quotes from some veterans). In 2012 the leaders were still there. Tomlin has said that the Ravens do not play a full sixty minutes, something that good leadership tends to correct. This attitude also permeated the draft (Green is not vocal) and most free agents as well. The team performed well in the regular season, which included a majority of lesser competitive opponents, but generally not versus higher quality teams in the post season. Hence, the resulting post season record and levels of play that were undisciplined, leading to bad judgements and lackadaisical ball protection.

So what draft position will the Ravens be in? 14th pick

Either one below would go a long way to improve the OL: Athletic: 14. Baltimore Ravens: Vega Ioane, G/C, Penn State Ioane is the exact type of behemoth Baltimore’s offense has been missing in the middle. Re-sign Tyler Linderbaum, put Ioane next to him, and Baltimore’s offensive line would be rocking again. 17. Detroit Lions: Kadyn Proctor, OT, Alabama The Lions could have needs nearly across the board on the offensive line, especially with left tackle Taylor Decker and interior lineman Graham Glasgow pondering their futures. Proctor is still more sizzle than steak, but the potential — like his 6-foot-7, 360-pound frame — is enormous. -
I am anxious to see DeCosta being able to draft without the many tight Harbaugh strings attached in years after 2012.
-
And it is totally up to the Head Coach to overcome innuendos and noise, and direction instruction, practice and kindle team spirit to provide the utmost performance not only on Game Day but throughout the year.

Lamar's value for a trade to a warmer climate or dome will never be as high as it is now...

An NFL "coach trade" refers to a team hiring a coach who is currently under contract with another NFL team. This is done through a negotiation between the two teams, where the hiring team pays compensation, usually in the form of draft picks, to the team that currently employs the coach. A prominent example is the Sean Payton trade from the Saints to the Broncos in 2023. Contract with the coach: After the two teams agree on the compensation, the hiring team is then allowed to negotiate a new contract with the coach. Notable examples: Famous coaches involved in trades include Bill Parcells, Herm Edwards, and Bill Belichick. The most recent major coach trade was Sean Payton, who was traded from the New Orleans Saints to the Denver Broncos. Negotiation process: A team interested in another team's coach must first contact the coach's current team to begin negotiations. Compensation: If both teams agree to a deal, the hiring team gives up compensation to the other team. This compensation is most often draft picks, as in the Sean Payton trade where the Broncos sent picks to the Saints. -

Josh "Dilfered" to a win.

Strange that substantial player bonuses are paid for these obscure events. i guess that such recognition deserves to be rewarded even though it's partially a popularity vote. Sells season game tickets I suppose.

What good is management when a balanced team reaches the playoffs and, more than once, prematurely eschews its running game when it gets behind resulting in multiple yearly post season losses??
-
Playoff schedule-wise we might be better off as a wildcard.
-
Pittsburgh has a daunting schedule to hold on to their spot.
-
But can they win without Lamar? (back/knees)
-
A quick tempo on offense will help the youngins' on the o-line, enable quick passes and keep pressure off Lamar. Long developing plays will need to be setup by previous (successful) calls. Am I asking too much?

The coaching staff blinks..the players follow coaches' decisions.
