I got lucky with the power, it went out once but came back on 10 seconds later. It blinked throughout the night but never stayed off. I lost a few shingles so I will need to have that fixed but some houses lost siding so all in all I feel lucky.

I'll defer to Schmuck's line: Let's not trivialize the tragic death of Mike Flanagan by trying to connect some sad dots to the dismal performance of the Orioles before, during and after he was the team's executive vice president/general manager. That's not fair to him and it's shows a lack of awareness of the more complex issues that always accompany this kind of tragedy.

Sad. RIP Mike

I was driving, didnt feel a thing. Felt one in Jamaica a few years ago.

I think I read Bin Laden stated that he wanted us in Afghanistan long before we were there, that he viewed it as an 'empire killer'.

I see absolutely no reason why there shouldn't be.

I'll play.

He is a talented player. Nice move.

Pretty much the same to me, Rex is saying that he feels his team is good and he thinks they will win the NFC East. Would you want your QB to say anything else? I am a Raven fan but I try to be objective and I think regardless of talent if anyone else in the AFC North said the exact quote Flacco did then folks here would be laughing it up. I would too, but while I would think its a stupid quote if another QB said it I also think its stupid that our QB said. it. "I play this game to be the best, and it doesn't matter what other people say, I think I'm pretty damn good, I don't need to go out and tell everybody that and show it every given day, every play. I go out there and I play. You can think what you want about me, but the bottom line is, I'm still going to think what I do about myself, and that's that I'm pretty good." C'mon admit it, thats a pretty stupid quote. You know you would think so if another QB said it. Just like everyone mocks the Redskins QB for saying what most would love our QB to say.

Is it really any different than "I play this game to be the best, and it doesn't matter what other people say, I think I'm pretty damn good, I don't need to go out and tell everybody that and show it every given day, every play. I go out there and I play. You can think what you want about me, but the bottom line is, I'm still going to think what I do about myself, and that's that I'm pretty good." Yet one of the quotes has people here loving the confidence and how bold it is while the other is called retarded or overconfident. They kind of read the same to me.

Maybe two more.

I've been banned there for over a year, and my banning occurred during a time when I was gone for a couple weeks. So it was business as usual, random post deletions and random banning but all of the troll posts and posters were protected.

They have a new board that would be fresh and modern if it were 1998.

I didn't name any artists I like now because it really wasn't my intention argue what music (or when) was better, and I figure whomever I would have listed would have just been put down. I know and enjoy a few on your list DC and will look up the others. Maybe I would have been happier with music 10-15 years ago if I would have had the outlets to search beyond what radio and MTV etc were playing back then. Satellite radio, Youtube, Pandora and other outlets have really helped me find a lot more stuff I like. Of all the artists mentioned in this thread if I had to pick one that was the biggest throwback I would pick the person this thread was started about, Amy Winehouse.

I'm going to miss him. 10 years with us, thats a long time nowadays.

Yeah all you did was ask me to back up my statement after a number of posts where you insult me and in a post where you insult me. I called you on it then you claim you just wanted me to back up my statement. I kind of already gave some reasons why I think music as a whole is better and you either couldn't understand it or didn't agree so you resorted to insults. You were just acting like a child and being an asshole so do not pretend you were acting that way because I didn't back up the imaginary argument we were having in your head. I see no reason to change my stand of 'go fuck yourself old man'.
-
I'll stand with 'go fuck yourself old man'. I merely stated an opinion different from yours, I didn't insult you or your viewpoint and I wasn't looking for an argument. Most grown ups can have differing viewpoints and opinions without arguing about them or insulting each other over them. I guess not you so argue with yourself asshole. Playing with the big boys? You're acting like a child.
-
I'm not bragging on anyone, nor do I care to. Geez, its just my opinion. Insult me some more.

With a name like Perrish Cox he never had a chance.

And I think you sound like pretty much every other middle aged or older man in the last 70 years when asked about the current state of music versus what it was earlier in his life. For me personally, I thought the 90s were terrible for music and think its better now. Again, that may be because I can hear a lot more music in different places and do not have to listen to whomever top 40 radio or MTV is deciding to shove down peoples throats. I will say I wouldnt argue that top 40 or hits radio is any better now than it was 10-15 years ago, though I also do not think I'd argue its worse.

Which would be impressive if you didnt just consistently predict negative things about the Orioles and ignore the majority of predictions you make that are wrong. Buck will most likely be here until he is fired, like the majority of all managers. I do not think they will reach 75 wins, but if the did it would hard not to consider this season a success IMO.

I am amazed she lived as long as she did. I think she had a great voice, but I only knew a few songs. I think music as a whole is much much better than it was 10 and 15 years ago. At least partially because there are so many ways for artists to get their music out that they do not have to be huge and get ton of airplay to be successful.

ESPN is a garbage network.

Other notes of importance: in the last 10 years the Steelers are 14-9 against us, have been to 3 superbowls - winning 2, and have beaten us every time we have faced each other in the playoffs. I'll believe we are better than them when I see it. I'll believe Boller, I mean Flacco is anywhere close to the QB RothlINTsberger is when I see it. And I do not even think he is that great. Simply put, they pretty much own us. But we get to laugh about offseason arrests and comments to distract us.

its fun stuff but I will believe it helps us when I see it. Wasnt Ben's suspension supposed to help us and hurt them last year? A lot of people thought they were in for a long season - they were but not the way some with purple glasses predicted.
