The Arizona Cardinals announced Saturday that they have released former first-round draft pick Matt Leinart, who lost the starting quarterback competition with Derek Anderson.
Anderson, an offseason free-agent acquisition, started two consecutive preseason games for the Cardinals, and Leinart was upset the former Cleveland Browns starter apparently had passed him on the depth chart.

Leinert met with Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt on Friday to discuss the situation, and Whisenhunt told his disgruntled quarterback that the team wasn't yet prepared to take any action regarding his future.

Smart move by the Ravens... but I feel bad for the guy. High expectations for himself and something like this happens. Hope he recovers, and if not I hope he made backup plans.

via facebook- Update: Veteran Walt Harris has not been released. Instead he has been placed on the Training Camp Injured/Reserve list, he is expected to miss 1-2 weeks.

D-Wil--Flat out dissapointment, He is a training camp stud, but when on the big stage folds like a chair. Its pretty sad that the play that sticks in my mind on him was the play in Denver in the endzone, what 4-5 years ago, when he let (Bailey) out leap him in the endzone for an INT, He had 5 inches on him.
I dont get how he has a roster spot.

That woman was loud and annoying in that video. I would of told her to get out the way too. She was breaking the privacy off the people in the ambulance. She has rights the ask questions, and they had the right to not tell her.

NEW YORK—NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said Wednesday that Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will serve a six-game suspension and must attend mandatory counseling, partially for violating the league's personal-conduct policy and partially for 'giving [Goodell] the creeps' during their Apr. 13 meeting. "Ben's bodyguards stood outside the door, and he assured me we were all alone and no one would bother us. Then he suddenly sat on my desk and tried to look at my notes, asking me what I was writing, if I was writing to another guy, or if I was telling someone else about him. At one point he sort of cornered me and I had to squeeze past him to get away," said Goodell, adding that he just tried to get the meeting over with as fast as possible. "He was so gross. And having his hair like that certainly doesn't help." Goodell also remarked that he would probably still change offices, although Roethlisberger's smell had mostly gone away

My money's on the vikes. They have the receiving core right now, and rb. They just need a good qb that's not going to contemplate retirement anytime soon. They hate t-jack over here
