The Ravens just wrapped up another padded training camp practice at the Under Armour Performance Center in Owings Mills, and head coach John Harbaugh had nothing new to report on offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie, who has not been cleared to practice, and defensive tackle Haloti Ngata, who has a hamstring injury.

Terrence “Mount†Cody says he feels like a transformed player, and it shows. The defensive tackle labored through practices last year. His knees were sore afterwards and he was wiped. Now Cody has totally changed his body and conditioning. And thus, he has a chance to elevate his game into being a three-down defensive lineman this season.

Wide receiver Deonte Thompson, an undrafted rookie from Florida, turned heads during offseason workouts by blazing past defenders for a few long touchdown passes. Early in training camp, the 23-year-old speedster has been running routes with fellow wide receivers Tandon Doss and LaQuan Williams on the second unit.

In fact, Boldin is grateful that he is entering his 10th year in the NFL.

Cornerback Cary Williams and wide receiver Tandon Doss got into a heated argument during Monday's practice but they were separated before the altercation got physical. It all started when Williams and wide receiver Torrey Smith exchanged a few words, with Williams accusing Smith of holding him. Then Doss, who sat out the practice with a minor hamstring injury, began taunting Williams loudly from near the huddle.

TEMPERS FLARE: Monday's practice was easily the most heated of training camp, with a lot of chatter from players and coaches as the Ravens put full pads on for a second straight practice. Cornerback Cary Williams got into it with wide receiver Tandon Doss, who did not participate in practice, on the sidelines. But cooler heads eventually prevailed without a physical altercation. Coach John Harbaugh let players have it for subpar performances or lackluster efforts, including one occasion when he scolded his secondary after a long touchdown by Jacoby Jones.

After missing four practices to open training camp, McKinnie reported to the team’s facility and met with Head Coach John Harbaugh Sunday. “He and I had a long conversation, a very good conversation,†Harbaugh said.

Former Oakland Raiders linebacker still making transition from 4-3 to 3-4 defenseRicky Brown has enjoyed a solid start at Ravens training camp, but the inside linebacker isn’t content just yet.

Ravens left tackle Bryant McKinnie is in town and will be at the Under Armour Performance Center today, but it’s still too early to assume that he will regain his starting left tackle spot. That is because the Ravens have to find out whether he’s healthy enough and in good enough condition to get out on the field. Remember, that was the issue with McKinnie all along before the big left tackle’s absence prompted all sorts of theories about why he didn’t report for training camp. And now, not only will he have to pass the conditioning test and show team officials that he’s in good enough shape, he’s also going to have to prove his back is healthy. McKinnie told reporters the past few days that he hurt his back in an accident at home, and that’s why he didn’t show up for the first full-team workout last week.

Joe Flacco’s accuracy was scrutinized throughout the 2011 season, from his 15-for-32 passing performance in a Week 2 loss to the Tennessee Titans to the AFC divisional round win over the Houston Texans, in which Flacco connected with receivers on just 14 of his 27 attempts. His 57.6 completion percentage was a career-low and also the first time it had dipped below 60 percent.
