  1. Conditioning is fine for seasons end, but what about beginning of the season? As I recall we started out 3-0, the proceeded to go 0 for October losing to slappies like the Skids and Jets and Oakland.

Pops brought up Christmas day game ughhhh. That game was lost end of 3rd quarter and the begining of the 4th when we put 2 field goals up in a span of two minutes, somehow someway we needed a 7 spot on one of those drives.

Don't know how conditioning could of prevented Pitts final drive. They drove at will with a minute to go.

Go back and watch these games, Skins, Jets and the Raiders. Conditioning of the players wasn't the thing it was the conditioning of some coaches brain.

  2. In a good move, teams now can keep 90 players through the preseason, owners, against Goody's wishes, voted to eliminate the 90-75 cut.

I say good, because it gives guys on the bubble more time to make their case

I don't see it being a big deal, might even hurt a player that could be picked up by another team maybe. I bet after a week they would know 10 they could do without.

  3. Over time likely to be chopped down to 10 minute quarters in the regular season.

Also likely to be passed is that teams will be allowed to bring back two players who were on IR

Now, if they would just pass the exclusion clause for one player so that his salary would not count against the cap...

I would love to know if they have even talked about something alone those lines.

Nice way to hide a vet and bring him out at the right time

  4. Morning girls the blind man said as he past the fish market

What I see is more upside and cheaper options

Anyone on the team at this time is better then Jeremy Zuttah even Chuck Clark could do better. Never seen a center get run over like that so many times. Yeah worse then Mike Flynn.

It is all about money and where and who you spend it on. Raiders have a great Oline but if the QB gets hurts they stink. I don't see the Steelers line or the Packers line being that good they just have QBs that can over come, seen that show too many times. The Cowboys, another good line but I bet they won't make the playoffs this coming season. They will have to score 60 points to win games they will get to far behind to use the run game.

Nick Mangold is on hold till the ankle is good and the money is right, might not happen.

Yeah beating a dead horse. :) This team would have made the playoffs last season if not for a bone-head coach.

Yes Flacco's cap number is way too big and he is 32, really 32.

  5. Baltimore now has one open spot on the roster. The Ravens can sign unrestricted free agents tomorrow without affecting how many compensatory picks they would get in next year’s draft.

  6. Yep, the defense is looking good both short term and long term. I don't think we'll have to worry about it for several years.

But the offense...who's going to protect Flacco? Who's the 'go to' receiver? Is Terrance West really an answer at running back?

That's what has me concerned. Right now I'm thinking 8-8 subject to change depending on what Ozzie does for the offense in the weeks ahead.

No West is not the answer, not a bad guy to have around but full time carry a team, no. Just me but I they were/are counting on Kenneth Dixon. Lorenzo Taliaferro is a good back-up. And don't forget Javorius "Buck" Allen. Keep in mind teams stopped drafting RB. Wasn't it just last year or the year before there was a RB taken in top ten for a very long time.

LT seem to be looking good last season, Stanley seems to have much upside. Hurst at this time look to be on the other side. Yanda still out there smashing along. Let the rookies fight it out. There is that date out there when teams can sign guy without it costing compensatory picks. I look for a center and maybe WR.

Also keep in mind this team is loaded at TE.

My biggest worry of the coming season is Joe and if the fear is gone
