  1. Very good dc!!!

Only one word was missing from your prediction :)

A Steeler victory is a MUST today, the last thing we want is to face Cinncy with a little confidence in two weeks, Id rather Pittsburgh beat the snot out of them and close the door on their happy thoughts about beating the powerful Green Bay Packers.Jamal Lewis hasnt practiced yet this week, I havent seen him as OUT on the injury reports yet. But thatsa huge blow to them, if 8-Ball was there he would rally the troops..

Will it be a shutout? Naaa, I'll give them 3.

I disagree, I take bungles everyday, and better face them when they think they are good, btw Ravens-Bungles last year 800 yds-400 yds. We are simply a better team than them overall.

And Jamal is out! And Dawson, Womack and Hednot is out.

From their homepage: The Browns announced on Saturday night that four players - including kicker Phil Dawson and running back Jamal Lewis - are 'out' for Sunday's game versus the Ravens and that the team has signed kicker Billy Cundiff.

Dawson (right calf), Lewis (hamstring), Floyd Womack (ankle) and Rex Hadnot (knee) will all miss the game in Baltimore.

The team also announced that it waived running back Cedric Peerman.

  2. And Broncos defense is number two and our defense is number 20.

If we are a top 10-12 offense when the season ends I am glad. No doubt Flacco is better, no doubt the OL is better.. So if they are healthy this season we will be better on offense this year.

No doubt the RBs is just as good and they migth get some better stats this year because of Flacco and the OL, Heap is better (or is he? benefitting from a better OL and Joe), but our WRs.. same thing, because Flacco and the OL is better they probably will get some better numbers.

We have been playing the AFC West. Even Browns and Bengals migth have been better on defense last year. We had also pretty good games on offense last year, if you look at the numbers of our two last games of the regular season last year, we would have been a number one offense, however if you take our two latest playoff games we would probably end last.

Defense in yards and score in 2008. And not much have changed in 2009. Hmm Except for Ravens and Broncos. Anyway it will surprise me big time if our defense is not better ranked than them when we meet them, or at least when the season ends.

    Ravens 2-3

    Bengals 12-19

    Browns 26-16

    Bolts 25-15

    Raiders 27-24

    Broncos 29-30

    Chiefs 31-29

  3. Everyone is overreacting to the way our pass defense played yesterday. Phillip Rivers is one of the best QB's in the league, and he proved that yesterday. Our corners had GREAT coverage all day (sans the Sproles TD) and Rivers was able to put perfect passes in to his huge WR's. I'm still happy with our defensive personnel as I don't see another team that poses similar problems matchup-wise. I will say that I wasn't a fan of Mattisons game plan. He didn't bring the blitz as much as I would've liked since we got absolutely no pressure with a 4 man rush. Great job by the D to step up in the red zone when the Chargers couldn't take advantage of Rivers' arm and their big WR's.

From Rivers press conference, I think I heard the word Blitz used like twenty times.. and he looked tired everytime he mentioned it. Anyway what I liked.. Kochs punt inside their ten.. and what I dislike that Rivers seemed to have no trouble getting out of that bad fieldposition.

And agreed in RZ Ravens domininated.. the loss of Jamal W and Hardwick hurt them afterall.

  4. Last week it was our STs, who now played a solid game for the most part.. one sproles return however that was it, Carr did much better yesterday with his returns, Koch was perfect, Hauschka did a solid game too.

Now its time for our pass d to improve, Ayanbadeyo is killing me, Fox and Fab oh well.. I think it is also Rivers we have to credit for playing an outstanding match.. And Cams QBs is one and two after week two and likely to be one and two after week 17.

  5. Sorry crav...I needed my beauty sleep... :D

Waiting on the coffee but I have been looking forward to today for a long time. The weather will be terrific and so will the Ravens.

Shein on Fox loves the Ravens this year...

Yeah I also like Sheins Comment: and the underrated returns of Dawan Landry and Kelly Gregg, the Ravens defense is still downright nasty.

In 2006 and 2007 they were our tacklings machines behind Ray, with almost 100 per year each.

Seriously I have problems to see how KC should do much, so lets win the turnover battle and the TOP.

    Go Ravens!

  6. In my opinion, Hauschka isn't the guy if Stover's gone. He's fairly inaccurate. I'm too lazy to find it, but I analyzed his stats and skill set a few months ago.

He just doesn't have "long-term kicker" in his potential, to summarize.

    Thanks. OK for now.

  7. That was possibly the most ridiculous post I've ever read.

He was asked to try only ONE kick of 50+ yards all season long, and he missed it. During his career, he has attempted, on average, field goals of 33.4 yards. In 2008, his attempted field goals were, on average, 32.3 yards. Therefore, if anything, Harbaugh had him trying FEWER field goals out of his range than he would generally attempt.

Subjectively, even his made field goals from long distance (his longest successful attempt was from 47 yards) were of the "barely there" type.

The only type of person blind enough to ignore that Stover was genuinely suffering as a dependable kicker in 2008 is someone that just wishes he still had the leg strength he used to.

Any idears if we say thanks to Matt, this Hauschka is probably up in the air how he turns up, late draftpick or what..?

  8. I am basing my argument on the fact that Chester has had horrible training camps at center the past three seasons and was given every opportunity to beat out Mike Flynn but could not. Chester also looked bad in preseason action as well. Chester played solid at guard this season, but do you think he is ready to make all the calls along the line? I don't. Chester does not possess the strength that Jay Brown possesses. He will have a very difficult time with those 3-4 nose tackles.

I respect your opinion, and yes you are much closer to Owing Mills than me, just a little disappointet that you are not giving him higher value from TCs. And you are rigth about the strength compared to JB. Making calls.. all we really know is that he should be more ready than most beginners at that position. And then there are Matsko and Cam, what do they want from a center, lots of power? Then we better resign JB.
