  1. He led the Raiders to only their 2nd .500 season since they reached their last Superbowl. Guy can coach. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets it turned around quickly in Cleveland. He sure has experience with disfunctional organisations.

  2. This is Pees MO. He looks like a genius for a few games and does enough to retain his job for the next season only to shit the bed again enough times that we want him fired again. It feels like it happens every year now and he is still here. It wasn't good enough for Bellicheat and he fired Pees and it shouldn't be good enough for us.

  3. Honestly the Hardest part of the season was in the back end. It was front ended by not the greatest teams.

So you say the D had a hand in the wins in the back end? Oh so when Joe gets all thr credit for the wins in the past I am not seeing the D getting any credit then. You can't have it both ways.

Funny, the talk at the start of the season was how hard the first 6 games were going to be.

  4. If Joe's win percentage goes for 16 games it is a 4.8 wins. If you go with what was on the field for the last 6 games it is 5.328 wins. Really the question is less why Joe played a little worse than his replacements. But why wasn't he so much better than them?

What was the SOS like over the games Joe played v the games the others played? Can you factor that into your equation anywhere?

  5. We are all doomed. I think the politicians don't get it.

Here in N.Ireland are policiticans have their heads buried in the sand. They would much rather debate about what the other side are doing than actually address the issues. My guess is they are all idiots and are scared of being found out if they actually have to address proper issues. Seriously, they would much rather debate and point score against each other over what flag should be flown outside government buildings on which days!

We had one prominent politician being interviewed on a talk show on the radio along with an environmental activist. The politician blamed climate change on cyclical events. I kid you not. He actually stated that the earth has always gone through periods of warming and cooling and that actually temperatures have dropped over the last 20 years! Seriously. He thinks it's a case of nothing to see here. Move along. We need to burn our fossil fuels so we can compete with China and India on economical grounds.

Like I said, with idiots like this in charge we are all doomed.

  6. I agree with Crav. There is no QB I want a part of in the 1st. There are no Mariota/Winstons this year. There are a lot of intriguing prospects who could be had later in the draft this year. Someone who can sit a few years and learn and develop. I would be happy with drafting one of those types.

  7. Off topic, but I saw this tweet and thought you'd like to hear this:

@Olsen_Don: I have heard the NFL is trying to get the Ravens into Dublin, due to the city's large Irish population, and possibly 2018.

I know Dan Rooney was U.S. ambassador to Ireland. I wonder if the NFL would do a Steelers-Ravens game in Dublin?

Sweet that would be great. I'll also be at the Wembley game as soon as the Ravens are chosen to play there.

  8. Agree, it was very hard on the eyes, very undisciplined team when there is 10 minutes still on the clock before the half and your team has 100 yards in penalties, there's a problem.

Some of those calls were bullshit though. Nothing you can do about that. I actually liked the edge the defence showed in this game. If we had played every game this season like that we would be 7-3 instead of 3-7.

  9. Pitta will save us $600k and while it opens a spot we already have our 3 TEs for next year so that's $600k that can spent elsewhere.

We can't do anything with Suggs unless he takes a pay cut. The cap hit is just too big. Now after next season we save a lot of money. We really need to get a pass rusher in this draft.

Still, it all comes back to Joe and what he gives back to the team. If he refuses to renegotiate we are in deep dodo.

OK since it is all about last yrs record then how is it that the Ravens schedule is mostly set through 2019?

Sorry partly set on record. You see where we got Jacksonville and Miami this year from the AFC East. We finished 3rd in the AFC North last year so we get the 3rd placed teams from the AFC East and South. If we had finished 1st or 2nd we would have got NE or BUF and IND or HOU. Everything else is rotational. Every 4 years we will get the NFC West.

Sometimes you luck into a division being down in any given year and end up with a weak SOS. Sometimes you run a gauntlet with a 4 team playoff calibre division. No conspiracy in opponents. The dates those opponents are scheduled is open to intepretation however.
