  2. ozzie newsome really fucked this one up!
  3. Ravens must trade with trade with Green Bay to take Bryant
  4. haha yea she was hot! did anyone catch him kissing his twin brother on the mouth tho? i dunno which was more gross!
  5. We need to trade up right now for Bryant
  6. there is definitely gonna be an awesome talent falling to ravens
  7. god y didn't the jags just take tebow?
  8. wow 2 surprise picks!
  9. Take so much time...you know they are taking Okung
  10. Eric Berry is legit
  11. thanks max...didn't get much chat going like I was hoping, but glad it was appreciated all the same! I think the Ravens will be in great position to draft an awesome talent, per usual!
  12. If they stay put...it's trent williams or russell okung
  13. So far I am 3 for 3 on my mock...we will see if Cleveland now trades up! I still think St. Louis screwed up by taking Bradford!
  14. Why would we want to stockpile picks for a draft thin on talent and depth?
  15. I agree that Dez Bryant is a better prospect at this point than Thomas, but Thomas does have huge upside potential. If Dez Bryant did slip to the Bengals, we would have to trade up to #20 to get him because there is no way Cincinnati passes on him and they won't trade with us so we could take him over them. In order to trade up from #25 to #20 it would take way more than just a 4th rounder (which we don't even have). According to the NFL pick value chart (http://www.nfldraftblitz.com/pickvaluechart.htm), the #20 pick is worth 850 points while the #25 pick is worth 720 points. In order to make up that 130 point difference it would cost us probably our 3rd rounder for the 2011 draft and one of our two 5th round picks from this year (#156 and #157). So it all boils down to whether or not Ozzie and the rest of the war room feel that Bryant is worth giving up picks from next year plus reducing your pick total to a measly 4 total picks for this year. Maybe we could package our #25, Mark Clayton, and a pick this year or next year in a trade with the Texans for #20 plus a 3rd-5th rounder this year. Speaking of trade scenarios! What does everyone feel about trading our 1st rounder for 2011 away for picks in this draft? I would definitely not be opposed to it. The talent in this draft seems much deeper than what we could see next year; especially if 2-4 people we really liked were still on board at #20. We could trade next years 1st and another pick and select a tandem of say Dez Bryant #20 and either Gresham/Odrick/Cody/Best CB available @ #25. What do you all think?
  16. 1. St. Louis Rams: Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma...I don't agree with this pick but all signs point towards it. Personally, I would draft Suh whois head and shoulders above any other prospect and then target Colt McCoy by trading back into first or with the 1st pick of 2nd round. 2. Detroit Lions: Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska 3. Tampa Bay Bucaneers: Gerald McCoy DT, Oklahoma 4. ***TRADE*** Cleveland Browns (via Washington Redskins): Eric Berry, S, Tennessee 5. Kansas City Chiefs: Russell Okung, OT, Oklahoma State 6. Seattle Seahawks: Trent Williams, OT, Oklahoma 7. Washington Redskins (via trade with Cleveland Browns): Anthony Davis, OT, Rutgers 8. ***TRADE*** Pittsburgh Steelers (via Oakland Raiders): Joe Haden, CB, Florida...The Steelers trade their 3rd or 4th round pick and Big Ben for the #8 overall pick. Reason they had to add a pick with Big Ben is because a 6 game suspension has been handed down and makes teams a little hesitant to give up a first for just Ben. Thank god that scum bag is out of the AFCN now! 9. Buffalo Bills: Dan Williams, NT, Tennessee 10. Jacksonville Jaguars: Derrick Morgan, DE, Georgia Tech 11. ***TRADE*** Philadelphia Eagles (via Denver Broncos (from Chicago): Earl Thomas, S, Texas 12. Miami Dolphins: Jason Pierre-Paul, DE, South Florida 13. San Francisco 49ers: Bryan Bulaga, OT, Iowa 14. Seattle Seahawks (from Denver): C.J. Spiller, RB, Clemson 15. New York Giants: Rolando McClain, ILB, Alabama 16. Tennessee Titans: Kyle Wilson, CB, Boise State 17. ***TRADE*** Denver Broncos (via San Francisco 49ers (from Carolina): Maurkice Pouncey, OC/OG, Florida 18. Pittsburgh Steelers: Mike Iupati, OG/OT, Idaho...may now consider Jimmy Clausen at this point, but I think they pass. 19. Atlanta Falcons: Brandon Graham, DE, Michigan 20. Houston Texans: Kareem Jackson, CB, Alabama 21. Cincinnati Bengals: Dez Bryant, WR, Oklahoma State 22. New England Patriots: Jermaine Gresham, TE, Oklahoma 23. Green Bay Packers: Charles Brown, OT, USC 24. San Francisco 49ers (from Denver via Philadelphia Eagles): Jimmy Clausen, QB, Notre Dame 25. Baltimore Ravens: Demaryius Thomas, WR, Georgia Tech...Still don't see a better value pick out there at this point. The Ravens continue to build the offense for the future and draft Thomas to play as a #3/4 WR this season and groom into an amazing #2 for next year. Look for the Ravens to now shop Mark Clayton for a 4th or 5th rounder. If they don't go with Thomas, look for a trade down or selecting Jared Odrick, Devin McCourty, Jerry Hughes, Linval Joseph, or Terrence Cody. Just please for god's sake...NO TAYLOR MAYS!!!!! 26. Arizona Cardinals: Jerry Hughes, OLB, TCU 27. Dallas Cowboys: Jared Odrick, DE, Penn State 28. San Diego Chargers: Terrence Cody, NT, Alabama 29. New York Jets: Taylor Mays, S, USC 30. Minnesota Vikings: Devin McCourty, CB, Rutgers 31. Indianapolis Colts: Linval Joseph, DT, East Carolina 32. New Orleans Saints: Sean Witherspoon, OLB, Missouri
  17. Sure this is from the pre-draft presser where a lot of posturing takes place, but there is some definite truth behind it and it validates what I have been saying...
  18. If WR isn't a need in your opinion than neither should safety since we have 4 on the roster! You don't draft for 1 year...you draft for building your teams for the next 3-5 years. Like I said WR is a major need after this season and it would be ignorant to deny that. If we were to draft a position other than WR in the 1st it definitely shouldn't be safety...give me Jared Odrick or BPA at CB (Kyle Wilson, Devin McCourtey, or Kareem Jackson) or Jermaine Gresham if the Bengals are moronic and pass him up.
  19. Why are you so big on Mays? He is a big time liability in pass coverage and could no way ever replace Ed Reed. At best, he would be a Landry replacement. The only safeties that I'd take would be Eric Berry (long gone by our pick) and Earl Thomas who has the potential to also be a CB. Thomas would be a great pick for us, but I think he too will be gone by the time we are on the clock. If Oz were to draft Mays I would be so angry! And we DO need a WR! We talked about this before...the only WR we have under contract for after this year are Boldin and Mason and maybe Marcus Smith. Mason has even said he could be one and done! If we have the chance to draft a WR who also represents BPA then it is a definite possibility and smart to consider it. Let's face it...Mark Clayton isn't the answer and neither is D. Williams. Mason is one to two years, at best! So why is WR not a need? Get an elite WR if you can and let him come in to be a #3/4 WR learn behind two solid vets for a year in a low pressure situation and let him tear it up in year 2 when he is starting opposite Boldin.
  20. I couldn't have said it better myself! My thoughts exactly! We need to draft a young, elite WR to groom with Flacco and learn behind both Boldin and Mason while we have them both. There is no pressure for him to come in and produce immediately which is a great spot for a WR transitioning from college to the pros! Sure, maybe a CB or DL, like McCourtey or Odrick would represent need a little more and value. But, I do not consider the BPA if Thomas is still on the board. For years people on this site have been begging for a big down field threat with vertical speed with the delusion that Demetrius Williams would facilitate this role...well can that dream official die and we can replace that with the real deal...Demaryius Thomas...please?!?!
  21. Taylor Mays is junk! No thanks!
  22. I hear what you are saying about the Rams...and I agree, they will probably end up drafting Bradford although I do not think it is the right move at all for them! Suh is far and away the best talent in this draft and could be the best talent in the last 2-3 drafts! He is so elite it's sick! If I were the GM of the Rams I would have no problem drafting Suh with the intention of doing my best to secure Colt McCoy! McCoy is extremely talented in his own right and very well may end up being the better Pro QB of all the QB's in the draft. As for Thomas, you can't really blame him for the routes that GT asked him to run. He performed amazingly when asked to do what they asked of him! I agree with Papasmurf that if he was in a Pro style offense he would definitely be considered the best WR of the entire draft. He has dream measurables in terms of his size and his production speaks volumes in and of itself. I would draft him #25 overall in a heartbeat if he is still there...the question is would be we so lucky to have the chance? If either him or Bryant fall to us I could definitely see us drafting either of them. In saying that, I also wouldn't mind a trade back scenario either...Odrick and McCourtey are 2 players that I like a lot! I can do without Terrence Cody!
  23. 1. St. Louis Rams: Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska 2. Detroit Lions: Gerald McCoy, DT, Oklahoma 3. Tampa Bay Bucaneers: Eric Berry, S, Tennessee 4. Washington Redskins: Russell Okung, OT, Oklahoma State 5. Kansas City Chiefs: Bryan Bulaga, OT, Iowa 6. Seattle Seahawks: Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma 7. Cleveland Browns: Dez Bryant, WR, Oklahoma State 8. Oakland Raiders: Jimmy Clausen, QB, Notre Dame 9. Buffalo Bills: Trent Williams, OT, Oklahoma 10. Jacksonville Jaguars: Derrick Morgan, DE, Georgia Tech 11. Denver Broncos (from Chicago): Rolando McClain, ILB, Alabama 12. Miami Dolphins: Dan Williams, DT, Tennessee 13. 24. Sigh...I mentioned 4 people that I would take over a WR in a heartbeat! I don't wanna do it again. But you can't tell me that Benn or Tate are not rated higher than Patrick Robinson or Devin McCourty. This draft is so deep that I really think we should just trade back to collect more picks! There is so much value in 2-3 round it's unreal! Unless a gem falls to us at #25 (like a Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Michael Oher...) then we should entertain trading back for value and to collect more picks to target more of our needs! I agree with Cleetz this is on the verge of annoying. Get great players regardless of position...but we definitely need to target some key positions (in no particular order) TE, DL, CB, WR, and interior OL...
  25. Nope, still flawed and illogical on your end...guess, we will just agree to disagree on this one! See Preston's post in Sun today...supports what I am saying. I'm not saying you have to go WR in 1st found but if it BPA then ya have to! Why reach on someone else if you still need a young WR to groom with Joe and learn behind to savvy vets like Mason and Boldin? It just doesn't make sense. Championships aren't all that measures success, but it sure is a big piece of the puzzle for measuring success... If you are okay with our WR corps resorting back to mediocrity after the 2010 season and wanna re-sign people the likes of Clayton then so be it...thank God you aren't the GM...that's all I gotta say about that!
