OutsideRzAcE Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 The Sun just reported that Steelers' backup QB Charlie Batch is out 6 weeks with a wrist injury he suffered yesterday against the Chiefs. Batch was in for Rothlisberger, who took a knee to the head in OT. This is big news for the upcoming game because it means that if Rothlisberger can't go, we'd be facing Dennis Dixon, the rookie out of Oregon. Rothlisberger is being checked out today for a possible concussion. Quote
ForceEight Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Jeff Garcia is supposedly coming in tomorrow... Quote
colincac Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Garcia would be a great pickup for the Steelers. I think Big Ben plays honestly so I really couldn't care less about Batch, Dixon or Garcia. Quote
OutsideRzAcE Posted November 24, 2009 Author Posted November 24, 2009 Yea but even if Big Ben plays - if they don't sign Garcia that would mean that knocking Ben out of the game would mean game over for Pittsburgh. That's why it matters who the backup is. Quote
