RavensNest8483 Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 The emergence of Mark Clayton in this game is HUGE for us, especially going into next week. With Woodson prolly going to shut down Mason, were definatly going to need Clayton to step up again this Monday. Hopefully our pass rush comes out hott and plants rodgers a few times. I feel pretty confident that we can run and pass on the packers, here's hoping the defense can make some stops. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 He had a good game so he is due to shut it down fro 3 weeks. I also loved the fumble and major drop. Quote
ForceEight Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 I actually agree with Papa for a change. Clayton didn't have a great game, he had one long catch. He looks more like the last guy who wore our #89 every time he steps onto the field. Quote

Take away the big catch, and he's got 6 catches for 75 yards. Plus maybe the two biggest mistakes of the game. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Yeah why does he only get the love and none of the bad? Housh made 70%+ but people only looked at the misses. Quote

Go look at the thread "Best stat of the Night" Flacco gets this treatment from everyone. Clayton had the same PI on the play earlier in the drive that didn't get called... so that evens out. The fumble was def unfortunate, but you know he caught and was trying to get some extra yards. I'm not going to beat him up for the effort. Hauschka is a totally different story.... Kickers can't make clutch kicks they should be held liable. Quote

Sry but they had an inexperienced kicker make the roster. They all have rocky starts to their careers. If anybody thought he wouldn't then they were deluding themselves. Clayton has all things being equal been marginal his whole career. You can't suck like that as a 1st round pick. Quote
